Great potential not delivered upon.That's still a good story

There was a great potential that was not delivered upon. But even though, yeah, in some points, it was disappointing, it still had a good story, and something that you might want to listen to in a publisher's pack one of those days when you're just lazing by the pool

Simplistic

I think "simplistic" is definitely a good way to sum this up. "Shallow" might be another. Even for a light novel, the story and dialogue - especially the dialogue - are extremely simple. It feels like a little kid read a few of the 27,000 other stories like this one and decided to give it a shot. In general, the story and plot are not that bad, but dear lord the writing is, like I said, simplistic. There is a lot of the usual tropes in this one, especially the super cringey fawning over the MC, who might be nice but seems like a thirteen year old mentally. The narrator doesn't help things much because he has a tendency to deliver his lines like an excited ten year old telling the story of what happened at the playground that day. I also think the author should not write a book about crafting when they have no idea about mining, smithing, or the basics about how the world works. I mean, come on dude, you have the whole internet at your fingertips. At least get a clue before you write.

Despite my complaints, I don't actually hate this. It isn't bad, but it is bottom shelf literature so as long as you just want a silly little time killer, it might work for you.

Warm and welcoming

An overall excellent story with good narration. I do have one complaint, there is a LOT of background noise. The main character is relatable and caring. I enjoyed the relationships in the story. Looking forward to reading more.

this is one of the best slow life books I've listened to in a vary vary long time!!!! it's a great book!! good pacing !! and the narrator actually brings the story together!!! i honestly can't what to continue on with this series!!
