Learn how you can benefit from philosophy without boring your brains out and struggling to understand obtuse and annoying sentences.

This book is meant as a short, coffee-table-style book to bring you neat and entertaining stories to think about. While if you find a certain story and topic interesting, you will discover what we have found out so far as a people.

You will hunt for apples in an unkempt garden and think about spirituality and science. You will take a dubious happiness operation and gauge if you are happier. You will struggle to find yourself on a progressively damaged boat. Then, an enchanted book will lead you to a museum about free will and memories. Finally, you will know of a farmer who desperately needed glasses and was wrongly assured of his milking cow’s location. While you, likewise, will question your assumptions.

My goal is ambitious. For one, I want you to be entertained and also to gain actual benefits in your life. Thought experiments, or as I like to call them thought stories, entertain you. But, they also provoke you to think and, in turn, reorient. I, like many others, was lost and needed guidance. I found philosophy, and that made me find my way. I will promise you that this will help you find your way.

In this book, I will take you to the next level through witty stories. You will become an actual happier person through actual practical ways. Are your actions and choices yours? The answer might surprise you.

This book is a quick pickup to discover and meant to entertain in less than five minutes and help you discover and change yourself for the better. I feel your pain if you have tried other content before that would constitute self-help. This is a book that will present you with things that will make you improve yourself in your own way, not outright tell you what is wrong and what to do about it.

So, if you want to make yourself the person you envy today, then scroll up and listen by clicking the "buy now". I sincerely hope you will enjoy.

J. H. Pii states his ambitious goal is to entertain the reader while also providing actual benefits to their lives. I believe he has succeeded. I learned a few things and that is always a win in my eyes. This book was a fun listen and I would recommend it to anyone. The stories used to get you thinking were easy to follow and thought provoking. The author did a good job with the narration as well. I was sucked in and listened to this short book in one sitting. Grab this book you will not be disappointed.

To glean just a fraction of the philosophical information contained within this little book would take years, and that wouldn't even guarantee the reader's understanding. J. H. Pii has condensed all of this information into five, consumable chapters that even the layperson with a sliver of philosophical knowledge could understand. The book is well organized and well presented.

I thoroughly enjoyed ‘5 Thought Experiments to Change your Perspective.’ D.H. Pii’s audiobook is composed in a clear, concise style, and his narration is perfectly conversational as he leads you along a deep discussion that shifts your way of thinking. It is my new favorite listen, as it is a book I will go back to again and again. It is perfect for the new arrival to philosophy, as well as for the Ph.D.

This book asks you to think about things you think you know, and to extrapolate from one idea to the next. The chapters are layered and connect back to one another, giving an insight into how these ideas have preoccupied humanity throughout the ages. Through the use of short stories and examples, he introduces the reader to various thinkers along the way and does so by interweaving eastern and western thought. The teachings of the Buddha are placed on the same level as Kant. With topics like the spirit and science, whether or not you are happy and what happiness really is, identity, free will, and knowledge you go romping through a range of ideas that leave you questioning everything. Here’s a bit of advice; when listening, stop and contemplate what you just heard, and let your thoughts travel down the new paths.

The narration is delivered in a real cool Danish accent that lends the correct level of sophistication to a deep philosophical discussion. In short, your mind gets a workout, whether you’re on the treadmill, painting a ceiling, or commuting.

Mr. Pii, let me know when you’re hosting your next dinner party. I want an invitation to sit at your table and listen in on the conversation.
