Assault by Fire

By: H. Ripley Rawlings

Narrated by: Graham Winton

In the rip-roaring tradition of Red Dawn and The Dirty Dozen, this action-packed thriller from Lt. Col. Hunter Ripley Rip Rawlings IV takes all-American patriotism to an explosive new level....

Assault by Sea

US Marine Tyce Asher knew his fighting days were over when he lost his leg in Iraq. He thought hed never see action again - certainly not on American soil - until the Russians attacked us by sea....

Assault by Land

With so many troops stationed in the Middle East, the US government is counting on Tyce and other reserve fighters to step up and defend their country - when Russian boots hit the ground....

Assault by Fire

This is much more than a surprise attack. It is a full-fledged invasion orchestrated by a military mastermind hellbent on destruction. As the Russians move inland, killing and maiming, Tyce has to enlist every patriot he can find - seasoned vets, armchair warriors, backwoods buckshooters, even mountain moonshiners - to unleash their Second Amendment rights...on America's number-one enemy.

great action overcomes a dubious story premise

This was a good listen. while the idea the US could be overcome in such a nature as demonstrated in this story send a fantastical, the characters and the action over came. good listen

Strongly recommend!

This is an excellent, excellent book. It’s one of the best that I’ve read/listen to in a long time. I grew up in the 50s and 60s and can easily relate to the situation described in this book. The author in his epilogue really gave an excellent description of what it was like to live during that time. The reader did a super job bringing the story of life!

Really enjoyed the book

I’ll definitely be reading the next thing Rip Rawlings writes. Great characters and start to a series.

Good story and storytelling

Narration was a little meh since most of the people sounded the same, but there are definitely worse. Pretty good story and well written with good characters that hopefully get more developed in future stories.

Maybe Red Dawn combined with One Second After? Great read!

Really liked the story. The title of the review says it all. If you liked either Red Dawn or One Second After then get this book.

Looking forward to more please!!
