ugh the narrator

this narrator is horrible. does a horrible job, I wanted to skip past any scenes he did accents in because they were so bad. the wolf man scenes were like nails on a chalk board.

Excellent Book and Narration

Yes the narrator is different but personally I found it fairly seemless with this series. With the Divine Dungeon series it was much more jarring (although I got used to it and it was great), with this book all of the characters fit perfectly and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. The story itself I'm about halfway through and it's been amazing. On par with the previous books.

Luke Daniels can not do female voices

Look I'm fine with almost anything. but going from one male narrator who can do multiple, complex female voices, to a narrator who can not, and in infact some female's sound more male then the males, mid series, it's just too much. I loved the intro skill joe got to explain it away, but great female voices, to this, is painful. The book is great otherwise. and Luke is great otherwise. sorry for the negativity.

A lot better narration since Rexus

First let me say I think Daniels does a lot better here then in the side story Rexus, which could be because he didn't have to focus on Jaxon and weird wolf characters or maybe just getting into a better rhythm. I still don't like the way his Alexis sounds and his Bard is a little hard to understand.

Second this book at 10 hours feels way too short. I love living in this world and it's disappointing to be thrust out of it so quickly(I know it's only 2-3 hours shorter than the first two but still).

Third without spoilers let me be vague and say I didn't like the quests in this book as much as the others. Still some cool rewards and fun/dire encounters but, overall I was left feeling like they were unfairly given and a little lackluster. Also, again being vague, I didn't appreciate the stuff happening in the wider world.

I still recommend listening to this(I'm going through it again myself). If Daniels was the only thing keeping you on the fence then relax, he gets better or you get used to it.
