Publisher's summary

The System is generous. Not with presents, but with predicaments.

Cheater now has a straightforward goal, or so it seems to him. To everyone else, his endeavor sounds suicidal for a high-level veteran, never mind a newcomer whose intellect is still shackled by the System.

Cheater sees only one way forward: develop his skills, conquer monsters, and become stronger, faster, wiser, and more fearsome with each passing day. Until he makes progress on his own capabilities, he cannot hope to achieve anything else.

But the System has intentions of its own. Namely, to hit Cheater every step of the way with unforeseen, unpleasant refutations of his noble plans.

So much better!

I still hate the constant reminder of him being a moron. but so many things were improved in this book I'm not going to complain. I just hope that M**** is a good person or I'm going to cry :{

Very good

I liked the last book but the main character was just the worst. The growth shown from book one to two is great. Cheater isn't as big of a jerk and isn't completely clueless. The new guy in my opinion stole the show, he has a lot of depth that I'm looking forward to seeing more of. A very solid sequel.

Great books so far.

Only complaint so far is that these books are too short and will have to spend so many credits just to listen to them all.

Good but shorter than I would like

I am really liking this series so far, but honestly, its not the best post-apocalyptic type lit-rpg i have listened to. One gripe that I have is that this book is kinda short. Looks like the next book is longer, but the books all seem very short compared to others. this book just seemed to fly by. After this book it just doesnt feel like that much was accomplished. Taking into account that this is clearly a series of books, thats not too terrible. Its like a TV show. you are not going to have some massive thing every time but there was some real good character building and world building going on in this one. considering though that if you buy credits, they come out to like, $13 per credit or something like that. I guess $13 for 10 hours of some minor story isnt too bad. I really hope the next books have more to them though.

The voice acting though is on point. I do wish however, from the first one mostly that a female did the female voices. Men doing female voices always sounds off and kinda pulls me out of the story.

now I just need to wait a few days for my next credit to get the next book.

Great pick up

The series is awesome. This is probably the weakest of the books I’ve listened to so far but still really good. Highly recommend the series if you like Isekai novels.

Better and Better

Wonderful second book to the series, keep reading it only gets better! The story evolves and gets more into the mechanics of “the game”.

Excellent

This is the first litrpg series I've ever read. I absolutely love it. This second book to the series has some moments where I just kind of let my jaw drop. Cheater has made some great progress and I absolutely cannot wait to spend my next credit on the third book. I have too many questions and Arthur Stone does a great job at leaving the ending on a high point that needs to be continued from.
