As if his task wasn’t daunting enough, his old competitor, mercenary Captain Tenebris Rache, is on the same quest, and he’ll do anything to keep the Kingdom from getting that gate.

The only headline I could think of was "WOW"

As a listener of hundreds of audio books and reader of thousands of hard cover novels, I can say with confidence YOU WILL LIKE this series of audio books.. The author mixes unusual characters with spontaneous humor and then adds riveting action drawing you in for more and more. Worthy of this 5 star rating... Thank you Lindsay Buroker

I must add a note for the Narration, although you could nit pick the performance overall Fred Berman does an excellent job controlling several different characters voices so it feels like your involved with the story not just listening to the words being read to you. Overall Great Job Fred.

Unexpected delight

It is fun. It is intelligent. It is delightful.
A sympathetic protagonist with a personality and brains, whose faith is not squashed, and who is both a problem solver and a source of humor and comfort. All that and yet his character does not overshadow the other amazing cast of characters.

The story line is INCREDIBLE but the reader is what makes this audible so wonderful!!!! I love his voices!. So believable!

Worth the read. Adventure sci fi. With moments of humour and drama I’d read the next book in the series

Sci-fi tech and nonstop action

The story pulls in many great science fiction concepts, and wraps it into many interesting plots and scenarios.

The action never stops!

The action is nonstop except for snarky flirting between a scholar and a pirate and the cat woman and the knight and a 61/2 feet tall, shiny black android who can change shape at will and a very humanoid android.

Awesome series

This series is definitely worthy of multiple reads. Well written and a generic story. The Audible version is great. Action, humor, well rounded story line.

Author Review

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series this far. I love that they were combined as omnibuses. I think that the author has a really love mix of down-to-earth characters who have a large effect on the world around them. The humorous bits and banter between characters never ceases to make me smile.

My new favorite

Another great book series by my current favorite author. No matter how many books I read, I am never ready for what is going to happen next.
