Dr. Julie nailed it with this book! As a trauma survivor - I vowed to not read self help books but this book normalizes and helps the reader understand different feelings and behaviors and where they stem from! Why hasn’t anyone told you this before? Because no one wanted to tell you that we all have to work on ourselves before we can do anything else.

This is probably perfect for some people! It's like a kind counselor cheering you up. I agree that I preferred the IG more in some ways. I found the narrators voice to sound like she was about to burst into tears at any moment and a lot of "general" sentences. Personally I like more "academic style" (Jungian) psychology or Atomic Habits style realistic examples. This felt a lot more like a very long chat from basically the same place of kindness and self love.
