Another good one :) I enjoyed this book addition of gargoyles and witches. The larger plot by dirk&steele is ongoing and some previous characters make appearances or are mentioned.

“Fight the future and all that jazz”
Ah, right in my Goldilocks zone for novellas: a complete story with a solid adventure and a credible romance. It’s not even necessary to have heard any of the full length books in this series to follow along. Even better, the urban fantasy is unique with Aggie’s precognition, Charlie’s ghostly projection, and a fresh backstory involving gargoyles and witches.

“The probabilities are high”
One of the things I like about this series is that the ladies are just as tough as the gents. Aggie is ferocious in her dedication to taking down the bad guys and protecting others. But, that doesn’t mean the romance suffers; there’s trouble and sacrifice in the air before the HEA, and it packs some emotional punch. A little urban fantasy, a little quippy banter, and a whole lotta heart: this novella gets right to the good stuff.

⛔️ There are a few F bombs, some astral hanky panky, and one sex scene at the end.
⛔️ The gargoyle’s situation involves themes of torture, cannibalism and suicide.
⛔️ The adventure concerns taking down child trafficking and there is mild discussion of the abuse.

This is my all time favorite story!!

This is my all time favorite story. It originally was in an Avon release called Dark Dreamers with a Christine Feehan book. This one was my favorite and I'm a big Feehan fan. I can't believe it's finally an audiobook. Buy it!!

One of my 5 top favorite books

Two of my Favorite books are 2 in this series - I just love this book. I re-read or listen to it whenever I'm in the mood for something really really good. Yes, I purchased both versions!

Good story dragged down by casual trans jokes

A fast-moving, high-stakes story starring a couple who are separated by such dire circumstances that it seems impossible for them ever to be together. I’m knocking my rating down a star for one very dated trans joke.
