  • The Secret That Changed Everything: Mary’s Story of Truth, Trauma & Reclamation
    Jun 24 2025

****Trigger warning: This episode references different types of abuse. As with all episodes, this information is based on Mary's personal experience and opinions.****

In this episode, I sit down with Mary Breuer, visionary behind Studio Nude Boudoir, to talk about identity, trauma, healing, and the power of seeing yourself fully and without shame.

Mary shares the moment she uncovered a life-altering family secret through a DNA test, and how that revelation cracked open decades of generational trauma, identity confusion, and hidden pain. But it didn’t stop there, Mary used it as a catalyst to reclaim her truth, own her story, and help others do the same.

What began as her own healing journey turned into sacred work...holding space for women to feel safe in their skin and powerful in their presence.

"I stopped performing. I stopped apologizing. I decided it was time to live for me." Mary

"We don’t heal by hiding. We heal by telling the truth—and letting it set us free." Corinne

    In this conversation, we explore:
    – How our bodies carry the stories we try to ignore
    – The truth about people-pleasing, illness, and suppressed trauma
    – Boudoir as a sacred return to self—not performance for others
    – Mary’s Coloring Confidence art therapy journal and why it matters

Bio: Mary Breuer – Boudoir Photographer, Healer, and Empowerment Catalyst

Mary Breuer is more than a boudoir photographer, she’s a force of reclamation. As the founder of Studio NÜDE Boudoir in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Mary creates sacred spaces where women and couples come home to themselves, often for the first time in years. With a camera in hand and compassion in her heart, she helps her clients see their bodies not as problems to be fixed, but as stories worth honoring.

Her work is deeply personal. It was born from her own journey of healing—through religious trauma, emotional abuse, single motherhood, and the quiet ache of starting over. Instead of becoming hardened, Mary chose to soften. She turned her pain into power, and her lens into a tool for transformation. What began as photography became a form of exposure therapy, helping both her and her clients face their truth with tenderness and courage.

Mary’s sessions are not about vanity, they’re about visibility. She invites her clients to show up fully: in their scars, their softness, their longing, and their strength. Whether she’s guiding a woman into a moment of self-love, capturing deep connection between couples, or celebrating someone’s journey through divorce, recovery, or reinvention, Mary meets them there with reverence.

Beyond the studio, she’s a mother of three daughters, an advocate for radical self-acceptance, and the creator of Coloring Confidence, a self-portrait therapy coloring book designed to bring healing into the hands of those who need it most.

Mary’s story is one of survival, soul, and coming home to the body and she’s just getting started
