However, Elizabeth falls short of Darcy's stringent list of wife-worthy qualities, and she herself is steadfast in her resolve to remain unwed. What follows is a tale filled with emotion and lively conversations as they both find their way around the obstacles they have put in their own paths to happiness.

Great character portrayals

Stevie Zimmerman’s Darcy is one of my favourite voices, so when he partakes in teasing Elizabeth back, it’s thoroughly delightful to me. I read the book some time ago, and had forgotten how much I enjoyed this story. I really loved the character portrayals, including the widower, Bingley, who serves Darcy well as a great friend in this book. Really enjoyed it. I’m so glad to see even more of Underwood’s books coming to audio. Highly recommend.

Elizabeth the Authoress

I’ve read all of Timothy Underwood’s books and this is a favorite. Stevie Zimmerman adds the spark that transforms the written words into a feast of listening entertainment. I felt Lizzy’s joy upon completion of her new novel and shared her delight in teasing the list-making Mr. Darcy. I also sympathized with her anger at the betrayals of loved ones she suffered. This is a real variation from canon, as the pair meet seven years later. It’s a great audiobook; I’ll be listening to it again!

Well written

….. but I did not like the idea of the story. Sort of depressing as Wickham gets away with his lies.

Great read

This book was different due to Elizabeth and Darcy meets much later in life. Seven years to be exact. Elizabeth was involved in a scandal and left home early. Great Jaff.

Narration was well done.

Delightful story with a strong (but not too strong) Lizzie & an arrogant but eventually reframed Darcy. Mr Underwood has written a very enjoyable p&p adaptation. Highly recommend.
