Cute and steamy story

This novella seems to be a prequel, and I have never read any of the main series, so I can only judge this as a stand alone. It has a slow start. I appreciate the author's trigger warning at the beginning, because this touches on some very sensitive subjects. I think it was written very well, with the issues addressed in a tactful way. The only downside is that there was a lot of "what if" talk mentioned in the book which I felt downplayed the seriousness of an anxiety disorder.

I loved hearing about Jess, Elaine and Ethan

I really enjoyed the prequel novella about the Silver sisters and their mother. Jacqueline Randell did a wonderful job narrating the characters into life. We get to learn how the small family ended up living with Aunt Jess. This story fleshes out more of who Jess, Elaine, and Ethan were and what their dynamics looked like. These events are mentioned in the three novels about the grownup Silver sisters but not in great detail since they were small children when these events took place. Despite being short, the story was well written, includes three dimensional characters and an engaging storyline. We get hints of who the Silver daughters will be and some of their background as well as the potential for their fuller stories. It made me want to go and reread the other books in the series.

I really liked this book. A little racy. This story had just the right amount of detail and kept me entertained to the very end.

Witch Way or the Highway

Witch Way or the Highway is Jennifer L. Hart's prequel novella to her Silver Sisters books. It explains how Laney and her daughters end up at the cabin on Witch Way with the mysterious and kindhearted Jess. Although the story is a little bit tragic and sad it is also inspirational as it demonstrates both what a mother will do for her children and the power of sisterhood. Throw in some magic and a guardian spirit and the reader will have an entertaining short story to enjoy. I thought Jacqueline Rendell did a great job as narrator and I look forward to listening to more of her work! I definitely recommend this book and especially the audiobook!

Great Paranormal Novella

I enjoyed this "Silver Sisters" novella a lot. This story focused on the Silver sisters' mother's journey and related more about their background. The story was about family and how a mother's love can keep them together in spite of overwhelming difficulties. The tale was moving, tragic, sad, and a little racy. All the elements that make a great, albeit short story. I recommend this novella to others who enjoy this genre. Jacqueline Rendell's narration was fabulous and enhanced the written material. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

The Beginnigs

I enjoyed learning of the beginnings of the Solver sisters link to magic through their mom. Jacqueline Rendell did justice with this novella. I understood Lainey and her profound love for her daughters.

Laney, Jess and Ethan’s story

Truly enjoyed this lovely story of a mums love for her children and the lengths she will go to, to protect them at all costs.
This is a prequel to The Silver Sister novels, it introduces us to Alys, Maeve and Siobhan’s mother Laney.
Along with their Aunt Jess and Ethan the Guardian (spirit) of the house.
I loved hearing Laney’s story, how she evolves into a confident happy woman to her friendship with Jess (the fae creole botanist) and also her growing relationship with Ethan the spirit.
Looking forward to reading / listening to more books in this series.

Very predictable

I did not like the readers whispering voice You will need to turn up the volume.
The story line is predictable and when the male character is introduced I could have told you where this was going.

What a beautiful story

Jennifer L. Hart has crafted such a beautiful story, it grabbed my heartstrings from the very start holding it until the end. To say that I enjoyed this would be would be an epic understatement!
Jacqueline Rendell gave a beautiful performance I that I enjoyed immensely.
