worth a listen

I really liked this book and the way it was written. I also want to say the narration is really good as well.bthis book takes place in modern day and is about a girl who finds out she has powers and is enrolled into a magical School of magical creatures.

One Heck of A Good Start!

First off this was a wonderful Start to a Good Story, but I am not one to read/ listen to Academy books. This seem to have a different perspective so I got it and am Sooo glad I did. Start with a 16 yr old Orphan and her best friend and then the Story really gets going. This captured me from the beginning. Narrator did a good job with the characters voices and the storyline. Author did good job writing the description of the various students that was different then I would have imagined.

Fantastic Book

This was a fantastic book. It has great characters and the narrator was great. I look forward to the many books that will hopefully follow.

Good read!!

I jumped into this book knowing little more than it was an academy series. I’m glad I took the plunge. This story keeps you interested from the very beginning. I enjoyed the back story of Merella being orphaned and not knowing her witch heritage. Can’t wait to see if we learn more about her parents in book 2. Also, hoping Merella finds love with a fellow 2nd year.

The mystery is soo good

A firey redhead orphan is left with more questions than answers and a sense of overwhelming when she learns she is a witch. She opts to go to this special school to help her hone her powers.... but she quickly finds that she has no idea what powers she has. Thrown into her school work and determination to not fail she finds out that there is something scary attacking the orphanage that she comes from. Things escalate when her best friend is taken and she and her quest group head into action to save her. Through many attempts to vanquish the creature attacking the orphanage they finally figured why the creature was there. They are able to save the day. And right at the end she gets more info about her parents and she was not expecting to hear it and it just leaves a bucket full of questions.
Very good book. I couldn’t put it down!
The narrator Mercedes does an amazing job too. I wait to start the second book.

Really enjoyed it. Very easy to listen to not too complicated. Looking forward to starting book 2.

Great audio book

I really enjoyed listening to this audio book. The story line and characters were great and well thought out. I didn’t want to stop listening. The narrator did a great job bringing this book to life!

Great except for 1 hiccup

I enjoyed almost every single thing about this book. The one hiccup to me was how readily the MC accepted the knowledge of her lineage and abilities. I expected a bit more push back from her. But other than that, I loved the whole storyline and how things are playing out. I can't wait for the next one!

🥰🥰INCREDIBLE!!! 🥰🥰

My daughter and I decided to listen to this book together! We both really loved this book, leaves on a cliffhanger but the book was worth it and leaves you wanting to hear more. This is the first time I have listened to this author and book was really good. Mirella is an orphan girl just trying to find her way in life at an orphanage, then she learns she’s magical and everything changes for her, still not totally for the good either but little by little she starts to find her footing and her place in the magical world. I can’t wait to find out what happens next with Mirella and her friends.

loved this book

going from an orphan with magical powers, to a school to learn how to use it. this teenage girl has a lot to learn, and the biggest thing to learn is. who to trust with all the things she can do.

the narrator did a perfect job at portraying the emotions all throughout the story, and i can't wait for the next one
