The Narrator does a lovely job of connecting readers to the main character from the first page to the last and brings this fantastical world of Gods and Goddesses to life. I would absolutely recommend adding this to your readable version of Winter Princess to hear the voices of each lovable character come to life.

It was ok

Winter Princess was a fantasy story. While this is usually a genre I enjoy, I really didn't like Wynn at all in this story. She was annoying from the start and I could not fully relate to her. I liked the narrator though. Laurel Schroeder did a great job with the voices and accents and brought the story to life.

Great story!

I really enjoyed learning along with the protagonist in the first installment. I can’t wait to find out what happens next! What will happen between Win and her guardians?! One downside is that the narrator has an odd cadence but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the story.

Different for me

Every once in a while, I like to venture out of my comfort zone and listen to a book that is not my usual genres of choice. This one popped up at just the right time, I needed a break and Skye MacKinnon gave it to me! Wynter is a demigod that has reached the age where her magic would come into full force. Her mother has sent for her to come to the realm and to escort her are 4 guardians. I could not help but see these men as male muses and with that I kept it in my head as a Greek God type of story, almost cartoonish at times. With the adventure that Wyn has set out on, the protection of these four men and the danger she was up against, the book was full of mystery, intrigue and passion. MacKinnon is very creative with her imagery, and I loved how completely awkward Wynter is, which for me made her a more relatable character. The book is a nice change of pace.

This story has so much going on that it needs an incredibly talented narrator. Laurel Schroeder is the perfect fit, with her many distinguishable voices, the convincing accents and her wonderful story telling ability. I loved her performance!

Wyn is a demi-goddess and her mother has sent her to the earth to live with the humans in hopes of protecting her. She has sheltered her, her entire life. Not giving her much information on her magic or what life is really like in her mothers world. On her 22nd birthday her magical powers will choose a path but her human family have not been prepared for what is about to happen. Her mother makes a mistake in not sending for her sooner. Her new guards must protect and teach her how to handle her changes while trying to get her to her mothers palace. Laurel Schroeder does an amazing job on the narration.

Awesome book!!

This author has a wonderful imagination. Wyn has been sent to live in human world until her mother summons her. Four guardians are sent to bring her home to her world of magic and intrigue. Alone the way she learns to use her powers. I don’t want to give away the end so I will just say it’s a must read!!
The narrator does an awesome job with the characters.

I was gifted this audible book by the author for a fair and honest review, thank you.
First the narration was not one of my favorites.
Winter Princess is the story of a Demi-goddess who lives in the human world with her adoptive parents till her twenty second birthday, on that day she is summoned to her mothers realm, her mother being the Winter Queen. Wyn is accompanied by four guardians whom she becomes attracted to and after little resistance becomes more than just her guards. The journey to her mother’s realm is not the easy journey she hoped for nor is the welcome to her home and the events during her visit.
I wanted to like this book, but there are too many lope holes, and unanswered questions and a vague conclusion. Is it a series I’m not sure?

Fantastic start

What a start to this world. Great characters with a very strong storyline. Wonderful narration from Laurel. Looking forward to the next book.

Winter Princess

I loved this book and an amazing start to a series! Win’s guardians are funny, loving, caring and strong all at once. I loved seeing the banter that she had with them while training and love the bonds that were made between them. I am so excited to see her and her mother’s relationship grow in the next book hopefully. Can’t wait! Narration for this book was perfect!
