Easy examples to follow and decent narration.

One of the few step by step books that is based on actual up-to-date treatment of ADHD aimed at young adults and teens. I have ADHD (combined presentation) and am already familiar with many books on this subject.

I have read both out-of-date and in-date books on the subject, and while I'm both listening to this book and writing this review (guess I will rewind when done). I had to add my review as it's important that this book get's pushed above those unfortunate cash-grab books out there that treat ADHD like it's not a real condition or filled with biases that are not based in the current DSM.

Although the "cure" for ADHD reaches far beyond medication, I´m glad they don't "forget" to include that, like some books choose to do.

The best part is probably that they give explanations to the core symptoms of the disorder, BEFORE applying the ways to tackle. It gives us a good picture of how we can make workarounds, for each problem we encounter in situations, and it's nice to relate to the examples given, when I have these issues myself.

I'm probably well into treatment now, and although most of the common problems are being worked on. This book is a perfect "refresher course", to recognising ways in which I can improve, and keep trying.

There's so many books for children and so many controversial treatments out there for this disorder in general, and it was nice finding this diamond in the rough.

I can only recommend this book, especially the audio version, as I can move around when I'm feeling unrest and relax when my brain is overloaded. Plus I can turn down the lights and not worry of straining my eyes. (Sensory light sensitivity)

TL;DR :
I recommend this book for Adults with ADHD,
Right up there; along with Dr. Russell A. Barkleys Books.

Let’s be friends

Grace makes you feel like you are listening to her in person. From start to finish was a joy. I finish listening to the whole book within a day! I’m not joking. This is my first ever taking time to actually write a review. I highly recommend it to people who just recently got Diagnosed with ADHA.
