Ever feel like you’re being watched?
It’s an awareness so familiar I adapted to it long ago. Then I enrolled at Westbrook University to chase my dream and make up for someone else’s lost one.
The prying eyes I’d known almost since birth... They closed.
Even still, I never got too close. I made friends with everyone but confided in no one. My dates were carefully chosen, meaning I went out with guys I didn’t really like.
And then I was attacked.
I slept in Jamie’s bed while he stayed near me on the floor. He gave me his number, told me to call. Oh, I wanted to call. But I didn’t.
Now those invisible, observant eyes that always seemed familiar have returned. But this time? They chill me to the bone.
Someone is watching. Lurking. And it’s only a matter of time until whoever is out there does more than stare.
The only place I feel truly safe is wrapped in the massive wingspan of an Elite swimmer. The very man I know I need to avoid. But as shit goes down, it becomes clear I’m going to have to surrender something....
My heart or my life.
Please note that Wingspan contains mentions of domestic abuse and suicide. There is also present danger and stalking. These situations may be triggering for some listeners.

Ok back to Jamie and Madison’s love story! I really enjoyed this gripping storyline. This author reeled me in with Wet and that baddie but this one felt even more suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. I needed to know what was going on, I thought I had it narrowed down to the right character and I didnt see one of the twists that came from left field. When it all came together in the culmination at the end, it was so brilliant and I appreciated what the author did. I couldnt believe I could fall for Jamie after how much he felt like an airhead frat boy in book 1. Boy as I wrong. This possessive feelings and his protectiveness were swoon worthy (not that I like men being controlling of women, but with how he handled things and apologized when he overstepped was adorable to me). He definitely has to be added to my book boyfriend list. I loved his good girls I realized I had a praise kink after a couple books, this one being one. I appreciated he wasn’t a complete Dom, but he had some of the best tendencies of them haha. Madison was a great MC and I fell for her so badly, I wanted to be her bestie haha. I was part of theater in high school in stage crew so the theater part brought back memories which were great. I loved her resilience but she is so broken and Jamie helps give her the space and love to put herself back together after she has to fall apart. The steam and love in this one were fabulous and perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. We had some awesome cameos and we get a lot of Ryan and Rory airtime which was fun (and Wes and Max....boy their tension ripples through the pages/bleeds through the speakers!). I think so of my favorite scenes were when Madison meets Jamie’s mom, Jamie going shopping, and how they all interact at the salon and at the end at the party. Really enjoyed this, will be picking this up in paperback at some point because it will stick with me for a long time.
The narration was fantastic. I felt all the hurt and trauma, and the fear, all the tension and angst. The characters were coming off the page with the narrators bringing them to life and putting on great performances. I really don’t have anything that stands out to me to critique and that is saying something haha. FYI I do listen usually 1.5-1.65X speed. I have enjoyed the female narrator with some recent listens and this is the first time I have listened to the male narrator. I definitely will be listening to them again, I enjoyed their intonations, their accents, the feelings they portrayed and highlighted. I think the best example was Madison when she discovers what happened in her room and the aftermath. My heart ached for her but swooned over Jamie and their friends so much ❤️

I believe this is the first time I've read and listened to this book. I enjoyed it a bit more than the 1st book for some reason. Jamie was an interesting character, and so was Mel. I still found there were a few "roll your eye" moments. I still ended up skipping over the intimate scenes, as I wasn't exactly interested or comfortable in reading how explicit they were. But I tried with the shower scene and when Mel was exploring Jamie's chest, but had to skip over it when it got to be a bit too much. It did get rather dark at times. I also didn't expect one of the people to be a villain. I really liked the cameo mention of Romeo from the Hashtag series, which kind of makes me hope there might be a short story between both series, but I mainly liked the fact that this hinted that three of this authors series are in the same universe - I love cameos like this. I am curious timeline wise on how old Romeo is during this series, but I was relieved to see the word "is" and not "was" when describing him as the best quarterback football player - pretty sure that's his position - which means he's still playing and is alive. Besides that, I thought Jamie was wonderful towards Mel with how understanding and protective he was towards her. I liked their banter and his jokes. I find it amusing how he isn't a morning person. I am curious on what exactly everyone's going to school for degree wise. Rory is in the photography program, no idea what Ryan is going towards as all I know he does is swim and work out - wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a swim coach or is aiming for the Olympics like Jaime is or is in business or marketing due to his Dad like Jamie is. Jamie is in business because of his Dad, I guess, even though that's not what he wants to do, but is going to try out for the Olympics. And Mel is in theater but is switching to something else. I thought it was mentioned that Jamie and Ryan met and became friends in college, but from what I gathered, they've known each other a lot longer, since their moms have known each other for years and own their own business together. So there are a few loose ends, but overall it was a good book.
*Narration*
I thought the narrators did a fantastic job and fit very well with the characters.
