The job was supposed to be easy. Get my best friend's older brother back on his feet and put my life back together. But when we ended up sharing a bed, all those plans flew out the window.
He was a notorious underground rodeo champion. Ladies' man and legend. It's not until he sustains an almost career-ending injury that his family learns his secret—he wasn't just the head of Sunny Brook Farms, after all.
What started as professional morphed into something more, and not only because the cowboy refused to wear a shirt around the house.
Not that I was complaining.
But he was like a tempting piece of dessert that I needed to steer clear of.
Except, the more time I spent with him, the more I learned he was more than what he seemed. He was protective and devoted. And when I had my first taste of him, I was hooked.
We knew it was wrong.
We knew it would be our secret.
Neither of us wanted to cross the line drawn in the sand. There was his sister to consider and my crushed heart.
But all of it was about to get more complicated when that pink plus sign showed up.
This is book five in the Sunny Brook Farms series but can be enjoyed as a complete standalone. HEA always.

I actually really liked this one! It’s a solid love story with just the right amount of spice — steamy but not over the top. The rodeo portion felt a bit disconnected (and let’s be honest, a bareback bronc rider in his 40s is rare).
My biggest gripe: she didn’t sue the baseball team for wrongful termination — he’s a lawyer, for crying out loud! That not only undercut her credibility as a professional, but it also reinforced yet another example of a man getting away with something while the woman faced the consequences. That is unacceptable and directly addressed in the story more than a two sentence statement in the epilogue.
And while Kelsie does start her own PT practice in the epilogue, why wasn’t that a dream from the start? Someone that smart and driven should’ve seen that potential early on — it would’ve made her growth arc so much stronger and more empowering.
Also… men who impregnate women need to face the damn consequences. His reputation getting a free pass didn’t sit right with me.
And the mom. OMG. I knew she was going to do something terrible, but I had no idea she’d end up being linked to Wyatt/Andrew. That twist was wild, disturbing, and completely unexpected — equal parts intriguing and nauseating. It’s a perfect example of how random acts of intimacy with strangers can spiral into devastating, life-altering consequences.
