Swoon worthy hero!

This was so cute. I love a marriage of convenience romance and this one was different than others I have read but still had all the elements I love in the trope. This is the first book I’ve read within this series and I am definitely going to go back and read the rest. I loved the hockey team and the hints we got about the previous stories.
Jade and Declan both had difficult childhoods and it makes them skeptical of relationships but they end up getting married to save Jade’s job after her real fiancé walks out on her a week before the wedding. Declan is so sweet and really isn’t getting anything out of the arrangement he is just a nice guy who wants to help. He was my favorite part of this book. I loved seeing all the little things he did for her and how he falls for her throughout their marriage. It’s definitely hero falls first which is one of my favorite things.
This did have some communication issues between Jade and Declan which aren’t my favorite but it felt realistic and you could see the growth of both the characters especially Jade as she figure out what she really wants. I do wish we got more actual hockey elements in this. I wouldn’t even really call this a hockey romance the hero is just on a professional hockey team but this book takes place primarily during the off-season so hockey is rarely discussed.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrators did a fantastic job! CJ Bloom really brings the fiery personality of Jade and Connor Crais is the perfect sweet and charming Declan.

My new favorite Wildcat!

Jade is working hard to achieve her dreams as a writer for a popular wedding magazine. She’s newly engaged, so the mag is paying for her event so she can write articles about being a bride. When her fiancée blindsides her by breaking it off just days before the wedding, Jade either has to find a replacement groom or risk losing her job.

Declan is the super-hot, super-private Wildcat who is starting to wonder who he will have to come home to after his hockey career is over. When he sees that Jade needs help, he offers to step in as her groom. After things get hot-and-heavy on their wedding night, they agree that it is safer for them both to just remain friends (except for when they’re in public as a happily married couple.) The chemistry between them makes it harder for them to remain platonic as time goes on. And as it does…their hearts start to get involved.

I absolutely ADORED this book. Leo used to be my favorite Wildcat, but I would pretty much step into oncoming traffic if Declan asked me to. He is literally the sweetest thing ever.

As for the audiobook, I think it may have cracked my top 3 of all time! Connor Crais can do no wrong…period. And I loved CJ Bloom as Jade. They both did an A+ job of narrating and the steam was STEAMING. This is another one that is definitely worth buying the audio.

Aww, Declan and Jade’s story was the best from this wildcat hockey series! I truly enjoyed the marriage of convenience and how slowly they opened their hearts to each other. I felt this was a no drama zone hockey romance and once again, it was nice to hear something real and raw for a change. I couldn’t resist how the spice in here was more intense but subtle, just a dash of it, with plenty of great banters.

Connor Crais and CJ Bloom were fantastic together narrating Jade and Declan. I have to say, I think they are so good, it doesn’t matter who they pair up with for narration but when they get together, I quickly fall in love with their voice-acting skills!!!! They are just on point with these characters, bringing so much humph, and so much charisma. Declan is not only a swoon-worthy gentleman but he can also melt your heart to goo as Jade is a lovely woman & dedicated to her job. I just love listening to how they fall in love and yes, the narrators were flawless! Great job, Connor & CJ- this one will be one of those audiobooks, a re-listen when I am stuck in a rut book moment. Hahahaha.

There aren't a lot of hockey games in this one but more of the romance between them & I am okay with this. I think it was best considering Declan was already a big hockey star & it’s more how can he handle the fame or spotlight with Jade. It needed the focus of how their relationship will turn out and oh, how lovely it turned out!!!! So, for me, it is a perfect blend of sweet, spice, and rolling the dice of their type of love!!!! I am a fan of this series and so, all the side characters were truly cherry on top, so likable! I can not wait for the next book 4!!!!

OMG, I claim Declan...

Jade is doing really well as writer for bridal magazine I Do. So well that her boss offers to cover all the expenses of her wedding and honeymoon as long as it all can be featured in upcoming issues. Plans are fun steam ahead until a few days before the wedding when Jade's fiancé bails out. Jade is in a panic, surprisingly more about her job than about the breakup.  
Enter Declan Sato, hockey player, hotter than sin, volunteering as tribute. He's hunky, loyal, supportive, a dream come true. That can definitely work, as the fiancé's name was never revealed. 
Add an idyllic honeymoon in St. Lucia, forced proximity living in Declan's house, meddling friends and you have the perfect recipe for an HEA.
(I must confess that I was so besotted with Declan, who's top book boyfriend material, that I wanted to yell at Jade sometimes! But I completely understand where she was coming from. Had to get that out of my chest though. lol )
This is book 3 in a series but you can definitely enjoy it as a standalone. 
Narration: Connor Crais and CJ Bloom are perfection in this audiobook! CJ portrays Jade brilliantly as the driven, ambitious, passionate but vulnerable Jade. And you can't get anything better than swoony Connor. Sigh.

Dang guys… Declan may be a new book boyfriend?! He is swoonyyyyy in all the right ways 😍 While I haven’t read the prior books in the Wildcat hockey series, it did not inhibit my enjoyment of this book at all - if anything, I now want to go back and read the first two! I really enjoyed the friend group and the development of our MC’s relationship. Declan is everythinggg and I’m such a sucker for a MMC who falls first!

Awesome Story Want More

I love this series. I am so sad that it is over! I don't want it to be over I have listened to the entire series in a week they are amazing! Hope that she is going to be writing more!

Love this series!

While this one was my least favorite in the series so far, it is still a great book! This book follows the relationship between Jade and Declan. It has the fake marriage trope. Jade works for a wedding magazine and decides to write about her getting engage and planning a wedding. It is all too much for her boyfriend who dumps her right before the wedding. Declan steps up and offers to help Jade out. This one was not as swoony as the others but Declan is still a wonderful book boyfriend.

Narration was 5/5 by both narrators but Connor Crais is chefs kiss!

This whole series has been so good so far! I can't wait to read the next book!
