Merrill David never disappoints!

I highly anticipated the fourth installation in the Wicked Awake series.
I was not disappointed at all!

Another Wicked Ride!

I have been a diehard fan since listening to book one. Merrill once again shows me why! The imagination of this man is, well, Wicked! If you’ve read the previous 3, you’ll be in love with 4. Merrill’s way with words and descriptions along with C.J’s movie quality narration make this series a treat for the eyes and ears! The ending…O..M..G!!!! I can’t recommend this series enough! Get it! Check out Fester, too. Bravo!

Best Zombie Horror Series

WOW! Just Wow! Wicked Awake Kissing Dead Babies (book 4 in this jaw dropping zombie apocalyptic series) by the always shocking horror author Merrill David not only surprised me but amazed me how much I am invested in my favorite characters (once again, Roscoe, the best police dog ever, better stay alive)!

This story starts pretty much where book 3 ended with marine vet Jake becoming more super zombie than human while looking for wife Amanda. Yeah about Amanda...nope...no spoilers. Just a note to the writer: I hope you are misleading me.

From the clever title this story is about the politicians that have serious culpability in the cause of the zombie virus. It is clear they are the horror not the zombies.

As always narrator @c.j.grey is pure genius in his performances from the wacky metal cover band Four Finger Bitch Slap to Megan's fear of having a Zombie baby (it might happen!), to Mack wanting to protect everyone especially from the gross zombie rats; though I laughed so hard at the comment, "...happy to have survived that rat race."

There are a lot of reveals, scares and imaginative twists but what is ever present as with the previous Wicked Awake stories is pure entertainment.

On a personal note, I just want to thank the author for keeping the zombie horror genre alive. With my current favorite show The Walking Dead ending today, I at least have his stories that are not really about the zombies but about how humans respond to them either with protective compassion or selfish power.

Fantastic story

I absolutely love this series. Each book surpasses the previous and I cannot wait for the next one. I can’t even imagine where Jake can go from here, and Megan….geez. CJ Grey nails it again. I could listen to him all day (though I need to remember not to listen to this story while eating). The creative writing and expressive narration are a powerful combination!
