Post-apocalyptic Batman, MadMax, and Duke Nukem!!

So, people go out and spend thousands on testosterone replacement therapy, when all they really need to do it read or listen to these books! Frame is the epitome of a bad ass and his adventures had me feeling every emotion imaginable. This is quintessential doom porn at its finest, and I highly recommend it to anyone with interest in the genre! Well done!

A story of a human being

While we may not all know one, let alone two people who have a bomb shelter, the character makes human decisions against it's chaotic world. A great post-apocalyptic story.

The most fun I've had reading/listening to a book--probably ever?

Oh boy, I'm not even sure where I should begin with this. I bought the paperback and GA versions of this book and bounced back between them. The performance was spectacular. GA really hit it out of the park with this one and I cannot recommend their rendition enough. As for the book itself, without giving away spoilers, It. Was. Phenomenal. I ugly laughed, snorted, whooped out loud, and cried. BotA checked all of my boxes and added ones I didnt know I needed. Lol. The MC was everything (tall, dark, and gruesome is exactly my type), the action was great, the romance was hot, the witticisms were absolutely unhinged. Life is so short and we only have so much time to read so many books--let me say you are doing yourself a true disservice if you don't make this one of them! Frame will forever live rent free in my heart. 5/5 for me and I'll be devouring the authors other works. I'm impatiently, patiently, waiting for the next.

The apocalypse on acid - what a ride!

“Tall, dark, and gruesome for the win!”
This started off with the same popcorn, B movie goodness of Night of the Comet, with equal parts humor and post-apocalypse preppers inherit the earth action.

The first book stood out for clever dialogue, interesting characters, and unique end of world features. The pop culture references were wicked sharp. The scene with the humpy, furless, mutant grizzly… hahaha.

“Can’t have enough sharp objects.”
The second book fell back into standard Mad Max territory, with standard hyperbolically evil villains and, unfortunately, standard violence and depravity (especially sexual). The grimdark details would have gone down better if the humor, pop culture references, and dialogue were equally sharp. It was still a great listen, just more like the middle seasons of TWD where you could feel the story losing its shine.

I don’t think I’d have enjoyed this as much without the graphic audio format, which kept the bloodshed in comic book splatter territory. I’d give the narrator for MC Frame six stars, if I could: he was outstanding.

Nukem,Fallout,Mad Max!!!!!

It has a bit of all of the above named, Nukem for the brutality, Fallout for the landscape and creatures, and Mad Max for the rugged biker style of it all. Without a doubt the best apocalyptic audio book iv listened to, not sure why on earth it isn’t more popular. I’m a slow listener but this one had me hooked and wanting more after the only two days from start to finish. You won’t regret it.

This was awesome. Grim dark scifi with the perfect amount of comical relief and an excellent performance!

At first I thought, oh this is going to be hard to get through. Well, I kept listening, then, I wanted to know what next? That's how it got me hooked. What can I say.
