Resumen del Editor

On June 4, 2008, at approximately 5:30 p.m. in a quiet suburb of Phoenix, Arizona, Jodi Arias stabbed Travis Alexander 29 times, cut his throat, and then shot him in the head. The killer then went to great lengths to cover up the crime, including sending his grandmother flowers, going to the memorial service, driving by the victim's house, and calling the lead investigator, Detective Esteban Flores.

It would take five years before the case would be put in front of a second jury and leave them to decide whether Arias was a cold, calculating killer or the victim of extreme domestic violence at the hands of an abusive boyfriend.

Paul Sanders sat in the public gallery for each and every one of the 47 days of the trial, and took extensive notes, transposing every twist and turn of it to social media every night. With allegations of pornography, racial slurs, and a search for the answer to the question of domestic violence and alleged child abuse, the journey is both painful and meticulous.

Humbling, intimidating, and powerful at the same time, this trial would test the jurors in ways they could never have foreseen, in their ultimate search for truth and justice.

Another ball hit out of the park!

If it's one thing Paul knows how to do, is engage the reader/listener. He seems to have 6 sets of eyes in the courtroom at all times and nothing gets past him. He will always continue to deliver the stuff those of us who are not in the courtroom never get to hear. His passion for true crime writing is rare. Most people who are invested in true crime get really focused on media hype, but not Paul. He stays true to his personal opinion and follows the facts of the case regardless of which side the public is on. He is a man of a million writing pads and it's how he creates his books. I will continue to buy his work! Great job Paul!

WOW

This is definitely the best book ever written on this case. And I just finished it with a tear in my eye.

Pretty good recap

Appreciate the recap, but kind of annoying how the author kept repeating some stuff over and over again (he was on a death penalty jury before and the defense lawyer looked like he was doing the chicken dance when he adjusted his business jacket).

The Ultimate Fascinating Story

Wordy, lengthy, & captivating. Entertaining, thrilling, tense, taut, & right on target, from beginning, to end. Paul A. Sanders Jr., is the more sensitive version, of Stephen King. Assuming, that Mr. King, wrote nonfiction.

Would be better with a different narrator.

Narrator makes this book hard to understand and want to keep listening. I think the book itseycould be good otherwise.

Great book

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn't want it to end. A down to earth portrayal of the case which was very easy to listen to. I will definitely be listening to all the other books from this author I can get my hands on.

Paints Alexander as the angel he wasn't!!!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The author is 100% biased towards Travis Alexander. He paints him as the angel that he was anything but! The author is totally incapable of giving a fair view of the proceedings!

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Not surprised!

What aspect of Kelly Rhodes’s performance would you have changed?

He sounded like an electronic voice.

Did Why Not Kill Her: A Juror's Perspective inspire you to do anything?

Yes, to seek the truth from BOTH sides!

Any additional comments?

It would have been nice to have an unbiased view of what happened.

Not a great listen.

The narrator was awful but I'm not sure that the story was any better. Too long, repeats itself over and over.

Just a bad written synthesis of the retriaI

In my opinion this book was both: bad written, and not what I was expecting at all. I was hoping the author focused on the reasons "why not kill her?"; instead, he just summarized the retrial, (which i didn't need) as I watched all Jodi's trials. At the end, he only gave a vague reason why not to send such a waste of human to rotten into the hell of death row. Not worth the money.
