Oh my gosh! This story!
If I downed the first one in this series in two days, then this one was even less and lasted like a one of Skylar’s special drinks! An explosion of fun and freaky, lasting and longing.
Knox, our multi-layered ‘antagonist’ from book one, has his turn to have his tale told, recovering from a broken heart. He’s suspicious when the peppy, golden boy bestie of his enemy tries to be friends. Gross. Not interested. Until too many drinks and a competition to build the tallest straw towers ends in a heat that ignites a change and a deal between them to help with their loneliness. But maybe in a way they didn’t intend. And now they have to work together…
These two are so endearing in all their stages. Miss Beck has an overwhelming talent with natural progression with pairings that’s steamy and realistic. Grounded while still being entertaining, refreshing like the Miami sun. They make you cackle, cheer, and cry, your heart pound and body lean forward at what will happen next in their story, hoping they get the lives they both deserve.
I absolutely adore Elton! He’s my favorite character. Imagine a golden retriever in human form, but in all the best ways. Friendly, loyal, full of endless love, protective, adorable, people drawn to him, humble, sees your true self, sometimes impatient and loud, but always him. He’s full of personality, but represented in a way to love and respect him.
And my guy Knox…The bad boy due to his appearance and quick anger…judged harshly. But unlike the stereotype, he is able to be loving and deep. And his insight of others so rich and precious. What a tapestry of tangled threads, but one who just needs someone able to see the beauty under the mess.

The spice in this one is…phew! 🔥 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🌶️ out of five! Be prepared, sweetheart.
Logan and Oscar once again did a delicious, wonderful job on all emotions for Elton and Knox. Bringing their traits fully to life. Although I love all their performances, I think these two POV voices are my favorite. Bravo! 👏
And I heart all the XO crew! Love them all returning and seeing how their lives are going.
If I could give this book 6 stars, I would. Best MM romance I’ve listened to so far. :)

Oh. My. God! Another 6 ⭐ review for this series. Just as good if not better than the first book. I listened to it all in one sitting. I could not stop reading it once I got going. Elton & Knox are the absolute sweetest together. They love so hard and fiercely. Beautiful story.
