Huge expectations after reading ‘The things we cannot do’

One time read only. I was looking forward to read more of Kelly Rimmer books but This book is way below the expectations after ‘The things we cannot say’.

Okay Read

I want to start by making clear that I do not regret listening to this book, it was an enjoyable enough story. However, as some of Kelly Rimmer's other books have been so, absolutely, breathtakingly, phenomenal and quickly became favorites, my expectations were high. Honestly, this one didn't meet my expectations. It was enjoyable but I didn't get drawn in, swept away, can't put the book down enjoyment from it as I had expected and hoped.

Might have liked this story

The story was good, but, I stopped listening early as the narrator’s characters were indistinguishable by voice. It was too much work to determine between the each person and thus not an enjoyable read.

Beautiful complexity

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the complexity of the history and the lesson in compromise which seems to be so lost in today’s society.

Drawn out.

The end was the best part. it did take a long time to reach the best part of the story. I did like the characters.

Kelly Rimmer hasmuch better books than this one.

I'd choose a different K R immer book. this was mostly tedious to me.. I loved all her other books

A fan from Tennessee

Great story about difficulties in relationships & deep seated emotional dysfunction & great acting. my negative is that it is too slow moving & the couple's arguments are redundant...I tired of them & almost quit listening but glad I heard their resolution.

Gripping and beautifully written

Kelly Rimmer has out done herself in this novel. I read one other book by Rimmer and it was also very good however, I favor this one. She was able to pull you into a relationship from multiple angles while fully engaging your logic and emotions. This book brings out the reality and complexity of people, relationships, and all of the elements in between. I thought that certain parts were drawn out but only to discover that the build up and context was worth it. I can not believe how engaged I was in this couple and each person, Rimmer is a very talented writer and I’m thoroughly impressed.

Loved it. A very captivating story. Kelly Rimmer is quick becoming a favorite author. Worth the credit.

the way this author writes is mesmerizing. I can't stop listening. I need to know how it ends and am normally a murder mystery reader but I love this story telling
