just too dark for me; lousy narration

this is the 2nd time I attempted to listen to the series. however it is quite dark and detailed. call me a wuss, but I like stories a bit more positive. also the female narrator drags, and there is no good distinction among characters. a good narrator might have saved the series for me, as it was confusing in the listen.

The authors stories are always well done. Good plot and good narration added to the story.

If you like spooky mysteries and a bleak landscape, look no further. This writer is very similar to J.S. Donovan, as well.
This is a two book set, so you'll have hours of listening!

Nice storyline

I’m a new fan of James Hunt. I enjoy his storylines and character development. The narrator, Michaela Drew, was overly emotional. Mr. Hunt’s writing kept me listening even though I wanted to exit. If I had wanted to hear melodrama I would have waited for the movie.
