Have loved the series. I mean the main story line is predictable of course but nevertheless beautiful story. Love and grief and healing. Just LOVE everything Kristan Higgins writes.

I love Kristin Higgins novels because they are a small town, girl falls in love type of humble story. However, the Blue Heroin series was my least favorite. I found these stories missing something. They were a bit dull and predictable.

Also, it’s a bit triggering that her stories puts emphasis on women over 30 passing their prime.

For this book- I found it a little offensive that she kept referring to Lucas looking like a pirate since he’s Puerto Rican. She also kept referring to him as “the Spaniard”. I don’t know many Puerto Ricans that like to be referred to by their colonizer. I guess since it’s a small town they are more ignorant about other nationalities?

One thing that bugged me…
