Needs a female narrator for female voice

Good story. Narrator was great for male part. Really hard to listen to female voice.

I honestly don't know what to think about this story. The story started super fun, and I enjoyed Emilia's sass and wittiness. But then everything happened so fast, and at the same time, I feel like nothing happened at all.

I will say that Brandon Francis nailed this performance. I've always been wary about listening to a solo narration audiobook, but the way Brandon nailed every single character from beginning to end, and all of them being so different, was just outstanding.

not for me

just didn't like the storyline as much, it had some good parts but it's was not really realistic. just not for me in that sense. I did not think the performance was all that great either. just get a sample of the book before you buy.

SADLY DISAPPOINTING

I had high hopes for this listen as the premise sounded a wee bit out of the ordinary for a Mafia arranged marriage story.. but it was basically an overbearing demanding tyrant of an alpha and the meek virgin he decides to threaten and punish with bdsm and keep as his own. I usually enjoy the ‘arranged marriage’ trope but sadly this just failed to deliver on chemistry or the dark Mafia vibe. Hero was possessive, obsessive and sub/Dom punishment kinky (but it didn’t feel sexy) and the naive immature young heroine, who’d led a remote existence, was just a pawn for a cruel and greedy family to barter. I thought she might grow a pair or grow on me.. but she didn’t instead she just exchanged one controlling bstrd for another. Brandon’s narration was ok but it may have been better with a female narrator too.

Worth a credit? You may really love it, but for me sadly it’s a no.
