the Shadow Master is back.

Jackson Blackwells rants are what truly makes the book and the series. I'd love to have a book of just his rants and musings. the latest installments of the shadow master are just are good as the rest and as always does not disappoint.

Another title another win!

I got through the audio book in a few days as I was hooked.
The YA premise was teased, and was delivered. Gibson had a lot of characters to balance this time around but I think it was done well, everyone got some kind of moment or arc.
I personally have a love hate relationship with Highschool based stories, and I liked the deconstruction of this genre.

A good addition to the series

It's book 6 by now you know what your getting into so if you love Jackson's monologues, the dick jokes, and occasional insults to the audience. Well this book delivers them. Part of me wonders if part of the motivation of making a YA parody was to make Jeffrey Kafer narrative in a kids voice, he does a great job and the bloopers at the end are a treasure as always.
Looking forward to book 7 and for what Gibby makes in the future.

Comedy of the Year

Jackson Blackwell is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. Just finished my second read through of this book. Who knew rooting for the villain could be so much fun.

Welcome back Jackson!!

Oh, how I missed Jackson Blackwell!! I always enjoy listening to him pointing out things that were said in previous books. So many characters, old ones and new ones, kept me entertained from start to finish! I work in education, so chapter 53 needs to be preached loud and proudly! I would love to go to a school board meeting, and hold an old school boombox in a John Cusak Say Anything style, playing chapter 53 loud and proud for all to hear! Kafer is the perfect narrator, and I was driving when I listened to the bloopers, and I'm sure the people in the car next to me thought I was insane because I was laughing all by myself in the car.

Did it again…

Once again, a very beautifully written and narrated story! I love the combination of author and narrator.

Jackson becoming human?

like always, Gibson builds on the expasion of Jackson's persona. Despite becoming more detached from his humanity, becomes more human?

in this we see more of Jackson's progression of parenthood and overall being a better "person". But it's laced with what you'd expect, crude jokes and amazing tangential outbursts that you expect. the YA trope smashing is hilariously accurate, and I'm obsessed with slaughterball!

Kiefer once again delivers an outstanding performance, and including the blooper reel must have been difficult, considering the endless amount of ridiculous writing from Gibson. i salute you for even getting through the entirety of the book.

Somehow the best one yet!!!!

I really got to say this one felt different than the other ones. It's like he was the shadow mentor.( and yes I know what the name of the book) but still it felt like it was more of it than I was expected. Jackson seemed very wise and mature while still making dick jokes... for shame but sigh- they're just so damn funny, even the small ones. well especially the small ones.

If you liked the other recorded Adventures you will really love this one. Gibbs Continues to have The character development of the shadow master But it feels like he focused a little bit more on the side characters which was really nice.

I'm really digging his daughter too. I would love for her to get her own book like "the daughter of a Shadows" or something. but if it's anything like villain's deception we will find you Gibbs you have been warned. but I digress it would be really nice to see her again in her own adventure taking out young gods who are too cocky for their own good.

also he should have pushed her off the cliff two more times. when you get there you'll know what I mean.

Another amazing book!!

I absolutely love the series and will be sad when it is over. M.K. Has amazing books and I urge you to listen to his other ones!!
