it's a star wars saga all over again

stay with this story teller

classic movie reference s from start to finish. in hindsight well you should find out for yourself. it's a good villan story to say the least. very recommend does not disappoint . with a WTF ending. good lisyen

Incredible voice work

All the characters in this narration have unique and identifiable voices. The character work of the book was great and the narration made it even more so. That alone has made this one of my favorite listens.

Hell has taken over cyberpunk Earth

I absolutely love the Technomancer series by Michael Gibson. It's kind of a Harry Dresden-esque cyberpunk series where the protagonist is a goofball Chris Pratt-esque character who has a history of being only out for himself. Unfortunately, in a world where demons from hell have taken over and established themselves as rulers of the Earth, this isn't really an option anymore. Teaming up with a bunch of mercenaries and a mysterious figure named Grimm, our (anti)hero Salem is going to try to take out the most powerful demon in North America--while making a lot of pop culture references. I think people will love this if they enjoy fiction which doesn't take itself too seriously.

Buy audio to free time and get things done while listening. End up getting completely enthralled unwilling to do anything but continue the story. I have a job, a family, volunteer work and studying I have to do, thanks for destroying my life! lol

Definitely good enough to keep going

The story took me a little bit to get into. Once I did I was thoroughly hooked. The narrator moves a bit fast and is a little lacking in inflection. Not enough to significantly distract from the story, but enough to be noticeable. I've enjoyed this book enough that I'm interested to continue the series. I have really enjoyed M. K. Gibson's other books (his Shadowmaster series ranks among my very favorite series of all time). Overall I'm glad I gave this one a shot even though the book summary didn't really grab me at first. I might not have had I not enjoyed some of Gibson's other work so immensely.

Enjoyed the story, but not the narrator

I almost quit early on because I couldn't get into the main characters portrayal by the narrator. I'm glad I stuck it out because the story was great was plenty of action and some good characters. I never really did get into the narrator.

To Beat Expecations

The book was brilliantly written and narrated expertly. Simple but if you’re reading this I don’t want to waste your time. It’s cyber punk masterpiece. The only draws back is that it will be jarring when Shawn Purvis switches to Jeffery Kafer but at this point in his career the material elevated Pruvis’ performance while Kafer elevates the script. I know that’s cold but as I said the book was expertly narrated and I will jump at the chance to listen to whatever Pruvis does next.

A good 3 stars

I went into this book knowing absolutely nothing about it. The unique world had me repeatedly going, "Well that's odd", in a good way. Unfortunately about 3/4 through the book I got use to the world, and the story wasn't quite enough to keep me hooked. It wasn't bad. It's that it created just enough apathy that I found myself having to force myself to start back up after ending a session. I still enjoyed the book enough to get the next in the series when I finished although I doubt I'll ever listen to this book again.

Oh yeah, I'm not a big fan of the narration either. Once again, it's not bad, but it's just "not good" enough that I noticed.

I love M.K Gibson

I have listened to all of his Villains series and couldn't wait to start the Technomancer books. It was a bit hard to listen to at first because I am in love with his regular voice actor from the Villains series, Jeffrey Kafer, but was ok after a bit. Series is great, I love Salem and Grimm. It's witty, acerbic, fast-paced and fun.
