Vicious is the third book in the Pleasure and Play series. I have enjoyed every book so far in this series, so I was super excited to get my hands on this one. This book is about Quinn and Gabriel and is told from Quinn's point of view.

This book was hilarious. I was laughing so much. The banter between these two characters was great. Gabriel is Quinn's therapist, but when something happens Quinn wants to get away from Gabriel.

However, Gabriel keeps showing up in her life wherever she goes. Quinn is scared of Gabriel, but Gabriel has deep feelings and ownership of Quinn.

Can Quinn get past what Gabriel has done and will still do? Will Gabriel get his happy ending with Quinn? I loved every moment of this book, and can't wait to listen to the next one.

A Dark Contemporary Romance

Vicious by AJ Merlin is a contemporary dark romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Allyson Voller. This is the third book in the Pleasure and Prey series and can be read as standalone.

I love AJ's books. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship between Gabriel and Quinn.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Delicious to be released on January 31, 2024.

Allyson did an amazing job on the narration. She really knows how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, stalker romances, serial killer romances, or romantic suspense.

This is the third book in the Pleasure and Prey series. This book is about Gabriel (Freddy) and Quinn. At the end of book two we got a glimpse of Gabriel. I wish it would have tied back into the storyline with the other characters that we have already met in the series. This one can definitely be read as a standalone. I liked that Quinn has a dark side just like Gabriel. This book may have triggers for some. I truly enjoy AJ Merlin’s books. Allyson Voller did a great job narrating this book.

The Pleasure and Prey novels are some of my favorite guilty pleasure books. They are short, not so sweet and oh so spicy. Vicious had a little mystery aspect to it too which I thoroughly enjoyed. I really loved Quinn, she was smart and capable and it took her a while to fall for Gabriel which made me love her more. It was kinda a slow burn compared to the other books in the series, but when we got there it was out of this world HOT. The somno scene was absolutely E V E R Y T H I N G, just so so good.

I thought Allyson Voller did a fantastic job narrating Quinn and the rest of the cast. I loved the audiobook and will definitely be listening again.

I’ve never read anything like this before.

There were parts of this book that actually had me lol

My only complaint is that there were a few parts I had a hard time distinguishing when it was a male pov.

Wow

I didn’t expect how things turned out. I was wondering how I would fall for the hero lol. All in all it was good and lots of wtf. Allyson did an amazing job at narrating.

Loved this one! In fact this whole series is a must read! Definitely have all the things I love in a book! If you’re looking for something yummy then this is definitely for you!

I was expecting more from Gabe I thought he was meant to be the deadliest? I don’t know where that came from. In this one we don’t hear from the others and their partners and we don’t hear of much killing actually haha

There’s quite a bit over the three novels that has come about but not concluded upon so fingers crossed there will be a forth novel to wrap it up.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.
I love the banter between Gabriel and Quinn. How he was always inserting himself in her life.
This story is dark, gruesome and funny at times.
I'm looking forward to listening to more in this series.
Allyson Voller narration is very good, bringing this story to life.
