8 books later in the same series and I am still looking forward for more!
The characters are so well portrayed, the series of events is constantly surprising and exciting, but what is most interesting is the ability of the author to deals with social, political and historical circumstances with such insight.
Bravo and thank you. I am looking for many more sequels :-)

Roller coaster of emotions

Such a ride but the emotions of confusion, hope, sadness, triumph, and grief made this one of the best books so far.

Incredible and sad

Emily's fame increases every year, as her enemies. However, in this story, Emily's actions has dramatic consequences ... It's a wonderful book, although with an ending that I found sad, though appropriate.

I was skeptical at 1st but then as soon as I read my 1st book...I feel in love with the series.
It's hard not to imagine what you would remember from History class to implement knew ideas in a foreign world.
Great listen.
Narrator is amazing by the way. I absolutely love the attitude she puts out on occasion. hahaha!

absolutely, The author has developed the stories plots and twists in such a way that they keep you in suspense.

the fight in the last chapter.

What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?

She dose an excellent job giving emotional nuance to each of the characters and distinctive voice characteristics.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

when the schools master sacrificed himself to the demon to save Emily.

This series keeps getting better

The last two books have really shown the main character, Emily, develop and grow. This has kept the series fresh even though it is now the seventh book in a series. I strongly recommend this series to readers of fantasy.

Also, what makes this series unique is that the author interjects history and real economic principles into the stories.

A lot of fun

Great narrating, enjoyable plots. fascinating believable characters with depth. Really good read. Highly recommended entertainment for a rainy day.

Excellent Book

Couldn't stop listening, this book was a real joy. The book is excellently written and the performance was great.

Can't wait for the next one to come out in audio.

Good story, good characters, and good narration. not stand alone, you need to start at book one. But I like that.
