Second Chances

A beautiful story about second chances. The characters were so vivid and beautifully developed. I was in tears by the end.

Love Nora’s books this one was ok dragging a little at times but looking for a new one right now !!!

Nora Roberts is one of my favorite Authors. This was an interesting read because it came from the man’s side.

boring plot line. male part was dull. female was wish washy no real drive, also boring! took me too long to finish

I love Nora Roberts, but this one fell flat.

I love Nora Roberts, I love the layers of story, the suspense, the hidden nuggets of information that leads you to the villain or develops into the heart of the story.

This one however, fell short of my expectations.

The characters were good, there was a lot of room for potential, it just never materialized for me.

Kate was not fully developed, she’s a stuffy professor and Ky is the wild diver/boat captain that turned his whole world upside down to please her father and make himself into a man he would approve of.

However none of the how and most of the why was ignored and left off the story.

Even finding the treasure, her late father did all the work, they dove and tada there it is….
No suspense, no anxiety, no mystery.

If you’re looking for a Danielle Steel level boring romance, this is it!

If you want a suspense packed novel with a little romance thrown in to keep it interesting, unfortunately this one isn’t it.

Fun!

Kate and Ky were having a second chance romance where they were treasure hunting off the coast of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. She finds the where the Liberty (an English merchant ship) sunk from her late father’s research. Ky was helping her father, but he didn’t know about the wreckage. They have a past, but Ky is one of the only people who could help her find the wreckage. It was a lot of fun with they adventured down into the ocean looking for lost gold while fighting over their feelings for each other. There was some dubious consent stuff in it, but not horrible especially being written in 1986.
