This book is helpful when dealing with any dysfunction relationship. Good read. Would highly recommend.

Toxic In-Laws

The book explained my situation perfectly. While listening to it I felt my feelings toward the in-laws were justified and not insecure and immature as my husband had said. He really needs to listen, but after 5 1/2 years of marriage it may be too late. He has decided divorce is his best option because I am just trying to break up the family and they should come first. I am sad but I have limitations and I’ve reached them too. I’m not second!

I've been needing & searching for a book like this. I tried another & ended up returning it because it had no helpful advice for my situation. I was leary about buying this one because it had few reviews but I'm so glad I did. It provided advice that I plan to use with myself & my toxic inlaws. I would give it 5 stars had it had more info on dealing with toxic grandparents.

This book is everything one needs to getting real results. it's all there for clarification of someone going thru such toxic drama and families in crisis. Demanding our non negotiables is step 2 and step 1 is figuring out now after years or decades of enabling and accepting it. Figuring out what's not ok ANYMORE is a task of its own.. I will definitely tell anyone I know or meet if relivent to take a listen or I will share with them myself that's how accurate and informative this entire book. I found myself speaking back almost identical to what was the next sentences coming. Att.grade from me.. only now how to get them to even allow it to be considered when I'm apparently dead to them for not accepting their sons rules and methods of how one should family. including my guy that truly believes that he owes his mother for always keeping his problems solved. in time otherwise In the dating market I go. after all never was good enough yet to marry after 19 years 2 twin daughters age 14. But I'm still going to do my work so it will work itself out for me atleast .. thank you for writing what many need to hear and face.

Excellent Resource and practical guidance

I finished this book easily. it was my first audible book. I really appreciated the diverse representation of couples with their different situations. The author had a very natural way to build trust and help me feel seen and validated through their stories. I loved having applicable advice to help me grow that felt realistic and possible. I'll definitely be reading this again.
