Adrienne Fleming did an amazing job

I listened to this on audible and first I want to say the amazing job the narrator Adrienne Fleming did with voicing all the characters even the male characters. I was pleasantly surprised at how she made her voice work for each individual character.

The story itself was fun and entertaining for sure. The banter was A+. Alec and Jo’s chemistry was amazing and though they shouldn’t be together because of the situation they found themselves in, they still fell for each other anyway. I couldn’t help but root for them to work out. This was my first Harper Ashley book that I’ve read but it won’t be my last. Happy reading!

Jojo was drawn to Alec when she first saw him. Little did she know he was her future stepbrother. They were both in shock when he showed up later at his home.
Alec is dark, unemotional, known for no relationships. He never got over the death of his mother. That attributed to his dark, surly.attitude.
Jojo wanted to bring him out of his darkness, she wanted to be his light.
They both know it was wrong. They were like magnetts, drawn to each other.
Harper Ashley has written an emotional, angsty, forbidden romance.
A rollercoaster ride of emotions. She shows Jojo.and Alec strengths, weaknesses an vulnerability.
Adrienne Fleming narration is phenomenal. She portrays all characters and gives them their own voices and personalities.
I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.

Cute story!

This was a great quick listen! The story was sweet and filled with true emotion. One could relate to the characters and the troubles they dealt with.
This is a must read/listen if you’re looking for something real and true!

Stepbrother story

I’m usually the first in line when you tell me the story is going to be on the taboo side. The problem with that is that I’ve read and listened to a lot of the same story. This one had a bad boy with heart, but if you’ve read a lot of romance books, it might seem a little predictable. Still a good story, though it felt a bit rushed.

This is one of my favorite new novellas!!! I am absolutely obsessed with Harper Ashley! I wanted this book to be so much longer! The second Jo and Alec met eyes I knew I would be hooked. The step brother trope was done very well and was hot. Most people would probably think that Nate was a nice guy but honestly I felt like he was just waiting to stab his best friend in the back. I loved the sister bond Jo and Allie formed. I would have loved for it to be dual POV and a little more from Sean and Alec relationship. Otherwise it was fantastic!

Great story and loved the narrator. Can’t wait for her next book to get on audible.

The perfect summer vibe

This is the perfect novella to make you forget the winter time blues and submerse you into summer again. Harper’s writing style made it easy to fall into the story and had me sighing, gasping and occasionally yelling!
I enjoyed the narrator and thought she fit the character well!!

Enemies to lovers, Stepbrother taboo/forbidden, Angsty. I loved it all. It was a great short story that I could not put down.

Joe and Alec had chemistry from the beginning. There was emotion, drama, and passion. I would recommend this to anyone who is in a slump and needs something to feel good.

Can’t wait to see more from this author.

I was so invested in these characters right from the beginning. The story of Alec and Jo was told so well. Thanks for sharing their journey.
