Teddy brought to life through words

I literally wept when Taft paid his final homage. I’ve always respected the spirit of Theodore Roosevelt. The author brought Teddy to life and my respect is far deeper than I could have ever dreamed. The similarities between Teddy and Trump are astounding. I can only hope history is kind to both.

Bret Baier did his usual excellent work with this book about one of our greatest presidents. There have been countless books written about TR and the different aspects of his very full life. I have read many of them.
This book is a brief (by comparison) documentation of TR’s life. There are other more comprehensive works.
What makes Baier’s book worth reading is his analysis of certain key events. He did include a few details I had not heard before, or had heard differently. Baier provides narrative not just to recite dates and facts, but to explain why TR was so vitally important to the country, and how TR’s influence resonates today, or should.

A superb biography well researched and very well written! I recommend for any history buff.

Very detailed life account

I loved this story and learned a great deal that I was unaware of about Teddy.

Magnificent

One doesn’t have to be a history enthusiast to enjoy this book. The story that unfolded was captivating, meaning I read the book in two sittings. What an incredible man Teddy Roosevelt was filled with service and love for the people of the US and the world.

This is my first Bret Baier book and I am very excited to start reading his entire collection. The story was very well researched, written and narrated by Bret himself.
