New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands returns to the Highlands of Scotland in her hottest new historical romance yet!

Highlander Campbell Sinclair is no stranger to battle, so when he sees a lad attacked by bandits, he jumps into the fray. He didn't count on being stabbed. Grateful to the boy for nursing him back to health, Cam offers to accompany Jo safely to his destination. But when he accidentally comes across the lad bathing in the river, Cam discovers that Jo is actually Joan...with the most sinful of curves.

Joan promised her mother that she would deliver a scroll to the clan MacKay. But traveling alone is dangerous, even disguised as a boy. When a Scottish warrior lends his aid, she is more than relieved...until he surprises her with lingering kisses and caresses that prove her disguise hasn't fooled him. As their passion ignites, will the secrets of the scroll force a wedding...and lead to a love she's never known?

This story was awesome. I didn't expect it to be so good. It was a page turn all the way until the end, and leave it to Lynsay sands to add some murder mayham in the mix! Well worth the credit!

A diamond in the rough

I liked the book. Linsay Sands is a good writer. it had good plot twists. I never really saw the villain till it was too late. Though she was my second choice. I love love loved the narrator. I could listen to him read anything. I will be listening to the book many times just to hear his voice.

I think I like the book more for the narrator

While the storyline is good, this book should be purchased for the voice of the narrator alone! A genuine Scottish accent, and it was so well spoken. He could read a dictionary and make it fascinating.

The narrator is exceptional!!

This book is one great adventure from beginning to end. This is the story of Cam, who is sworn widower and Joan a young woman who's mother just recently died. They set out on a fast paced adventure that progresses from friendship to romance to love.

It is a well written book that is filled with charming characters, cute fun, adventure, mystery, and romance,. The narrator was wonderful and his accent was so........divine.

This one is worth a try especially if you enjoy highlanders.

Adventure, Mystery and Romance. Its got it all.

What did you love best about To Marry a Scottish Laird?

The overall story, Lyndsey Sands is a good story teller, and I am enjoying her Scottish historicals.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I was happy to run into Annabel, from 'An English Bride in Scotland'.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Keiran Elliott?

Probably not. I struggled with some of Mr. Elliot's dialog timimg. It often sounded as if each. word. spoken. was. separated. by. a. period.
Lovely voice, truly, but the timing of dialog grated on me.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The heroine annoyed me beyond reason at times. She displayed such a lack of self-worth, that at times, I lost all empathy for her.

Any additional comments?

Nice story, not the strongest of the series. It does drag a bit at times, but overall, I enjoyed it.

Good story, struggled with the heroine..
