Acerca de esta escucha

Willa Doon has always been shy. Her quiet demeanor was something she's always embraced. That is until Jackson Page moves to town. The one man she desperately wants to take notice struggles to remember her name.

Year after year, Willa stands by, watching as the bartender/playboy drowns his demons in beer and sex. Then one night, he shows up at her door, suddenly aware that the girl he's seen around Lark Cove is now a beautiful woman.

Except what he doesn't remember is that this visit isn't his first. They spent a night together once before. A night he's forgotten, thanks to a bottle of tequila.

A night that crushed a timid girl's heart and set a broken man on the path to heal them both.

Lo que los oyentes dicen sobre Timid

Con calificación alta para:

The Story Revolves Around The Unrequited Love Between Willa And Jackson In The Small Town Of Lark Cove. While Some Found The Romantic Writing Juvenile At Times, Many Praised The Emotional Character Arcs And Compelling Family Dynamics. The Narrative Explores Themes Of Overcoming Trauma, Finding Belonging, And Navigating Relationships. Readers Enjoyed The Unexpected Twists In The Plot, Though Some Felt Certain Plot Points Were Repetitive Or Lacked Detail. The Story's Strengths Lie In Its Depiction Of Small-town Life, Emotional Depth, And The Characters' Resilience And Inner Strength.

Really enjoyable listen!

I’m a big fan of Devney Perry. I think a big part of that is that her characters are so likable. I want to know what is going to happen to each of them. I want to hear about their adventures and how they fell in love and built a relationship.

This book is one of my favorites by her. Willa is a shy girl with a crush on a man who doesn’t know she exists. Jackson is a man with a difficult past. I enjoyed hearing about their relationship with each other and with each characters family. I like that this is not an insta-love, relationship built on physical attraction romance. I really appreciate the depth of the relationship, including all of the struggles. There is even a bit of mystery and adventure to add to the story.

Narration is great! Highly recommend!!

Timid

I adored Maxine Mitchell and Aaron Shedlock they're just so perfect together as a duo, maybe a duet would have been better but it was so good to hear them.

Amazing!!

This book has made me a Devney Perry fan! The connection between the main characters is 🔥🌶🌶🌶. Only negative is the weird cutesy sayings Willa says. It causes so much cringing at least in the audio book version.

TIMID

This is such a loving, dramatic story. It is well written in the characters are so wonderful altogether and professional. I love the story because it has everything in it about family and about true feelings. This story is fabulous but don’t get me wrong. It is steamy also so hold onto everything and just read or listen. You will not be disappointed.!

Just Right

The angst was just right. There was romance and a twist that was not a second act breakup

Funny and sweet

Loved the story. Sweet and funny. But I hated the ending, the arrest was unnecessary. But it was a good read.

GAH!!!

I absolutely loved this book!!!
Willa has loved Jackson since she was a teenager and one night he kisses her....but he forgot it happened!!
In most books there is usually so much push and pill, that it eventually becomes annoying!! Not this book. Willa is not a doormat, nor is she whiney and indecisive. Jackson comes off as a jerk, but it doesn't last and you can't hell but love him. Maxine Mitchell (whom I do not love) was awesome in this book, and Aaron Shedlock, well there are no words for his awesomeness! Everyone should read this!!!

Awww, Willa and Jackson!

Fantastic story of love and overcoming trauma with some deep themes regarding absentee, abusive parenting. Willa and Jackson could not have come from more opposite parenting backgrounds and it is the basis of a majority of their turmoil. There were some deeply emotional moments of “loving him through it” and others of standing your ground. Excellent !
