Good story

Aside from wanting to strangle her father, I enjoyed the story very much. Good pick.

Loved it

Great story, great characters, perfect narration. I enjoyed this book very much. The story moved along at a perfect pace. I felt as if I knew the place and all the people who lived there.

compelling

I would have been about the same age as Grace. Even though I didn't grow up in the midwest, the author's description of the time period is so accurate. I loved the writing, overall, the characters and a gift that is difficult to convey.
I'll be on the lookout for Eldonna Edwards' future books.

I couldn't get enough of this book. The writing was picturesque and the narration was perfect. The story left me wondering what I was missing in seeing others and their unique gifts, and made me wonder about my own. love love love!

The main character is the same age as me. I could relate to her childhood experiences. The ‘knowing’ made the book interesting. I enjoyed the narration, well done.

Incredible new author

I will be waiting for Eldonna Edwards next book !Well written,great characters and another great audible. I was immediately drawn into the life of a family that felt like my own ;I ( at age 60 something😀)ate with them ,went outside to play, went to school, and to church. One of the best I’ve read in a long, long time! I can’t read because of increasing loss of sight. This was a delight to listen to.
