Kept me interested

I’ve fallen into a bit of an audiobook slump and this has gotten me out of it. Great story and characters. Great narration. I want more!

This is the first book I’ve felt obligated to write a review for and I think it’s in my top 5 favorite books of all time. It’s so wonderfully written I want to scream!!! I’ve been burnt out on ~romantasy~ stuff feeling like most of it is just…smut with a tiny bit of plot thrown in but this was a breath of fresh air. Slllooowwwww burn in the BEST way without feeling forced or like I knew what corny thing was going to happen. The chemistry between the two gave me butterflies, kicking my feet and GIGGLING. Suspenseful moments had me audibly gasp!!Beautiful and heartbreaking, I’ve never boohoo ugly sobbed while listening to a book, not like this. The chapters that took place in Italy and France??! (iykyk) omggggggg EMOTIONAL DAMAGE but again in the best way.

I think my only complaint is that this is a duology, I wish this was like 5 or 6 books!!! I need more of these characters, more of the story aaaaaaahhh I don’t want it to end 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Wow! I adored every single word of this story. It had highs and lows, yearning, found family, live, heartbreak… it was so well written. The ebook and audiobook were perfection!!!

Absolutely adored this listen. The characters had great chemistry and I loved Anna sm! The story is tragic in the best way.

Addictive as it is juicy!!!

I couldn’t put the book down when I read it and I couldn’t stop listening to it just the same! The story feeds my enjoyment of historical fiction, my soul for fantasy, my heart for romance, my mind for suspense, and my emotions for tragedy! More than once I got goosebumps, gasps slip my lips, tears fall from my eyes, pause with intense focus, and difficulty to stop and be present in reality. I’m itching for part 2 to become available on audio!!
