Author Sheryl Browne is absolutely spectacular, and narrator Tamsin Kennard brings this dark, twisty tale to life with precision. "The Wife Before" is a new favorite British thriller, and I was obsessed. Browne's writing is top-notch and the story is a complex web of lies, secrets and madness that had me hooked from the very start. The creep factor is just right, and the multiple subplots weave together seamlessly. Kara's got a new life with Jack, but his mysterious ex-wife Natalia's shadow looms large. When Jack's former mother-in-law shows up claiming Jack killed Natalia, Kara's world starts to unravel. Kennard and Browne combine their talents to create the right amount of tension and emotion. For those who enjoy domestic thrillers with a dark, twisty edge, grab “The Wife Before.” Worth a cherished credit, however, I lucked out and found it for $13.96 – worth every penny. Highly recommended. Prepare for a wild ride!
