Took forever to get anywhere

My heavens. This book creeps forward at a dizzyingly slow pace. He writes well and there has been great thought and care put into creating a world that is detailed and colorful. But oh my god, all the endless back and forth, uuurgh. Just kept wanting it to go. Anywhere. Now.

Like riding a donkey after robbing a bank.

Great Value, Great book

You know, at first I struggled with this book and even held it off and read other books before really giving it a go because it can tough for the start and by the start I mean quite fair bit into it. The numerous characters and such can be hard to follow at first but this is a book that if you put in the time you will be rewarded.

It's like coming from a busy life in the city to the country and having to have those few days to really unwind and just ENJOY what is around you at the pace it needs to be absorbed.

The world is strange the magic system unique and characters well fleshed out. If you like epic fantasy then this is for you.

and seriously...40+hrs for 1 credit... what a bargain that is.

I couldn't stop listening. The concepts of this book, despite being crazy, seem grounded and possible in the world they are set in.

nice book

great book as allways with Sanderson but the single greatest thing of the book are the characters they feel so much like real people

Nice start to the series

Started off a little slow, but when the pace picked up further into the book, it became a very good story that nicely sets up the next one.

Both narrators were excellent and really brought all the characters to life with distinctive voices and mannerisms. Easily some of the best narration I have heard.

Slow start, but great overal story!

The story starts off slowly. But After a while the story starts to get really captivating. It took me around 4-6 hours to get to that point.

Both of the narrators do a great job!

Best fantasy book ever

Wow. This is absolutely the best fantasy book I have ever read. Such depths - I couldn't leave it on the table (okey, it's an audio book, but you know what I mean)

Very good fantasy novel

Very catching book with good characters and storyline. Pretty similar to other series by Sanderson, like Mistborn. A little weird that the two readers pronounced names differently. Would probably be better if only read by Kramer, although Reading did a good job.

One of the greats

Fantastic read, up there with WoT and other epics. Looking forward to book two.
