Wonderful Audio book.

This is not your average dry history audiobook. It is, in truth, one of the best books I've ever learned, and is full of fascinating things you never heard of before. You'll stay up late thought this one!

Awesome audiobook

The Silk Road has ever been important and is growing more so with the New Road and Belt energy. I am especially impressed with how well researched this book is, and that still though it is very learned it is also written in very clear prose.

Really good audiobook.

It is a captivating trip and shows that there was a lot of "international" trade and "globalization" from so early in the "known history" of humanity. There were a complete lot more Silk Roads than I had remembered about.

This is a fantastic audiobook- a treasure of a book. In many ways a visual guide to details of Captivating History’s superb The Silk Roads.

Timely

This audiobook gives a charming view of a history not much known to westerners. It is very clear without one major flaw, which is why I subtracted a star.

History told well

Simple history with an interesting theme. For those of us westerners who don't know much about Central Asia and the Silk Road, this is a powerful start to the topic.

A very well researched and presented

It provided me a new prospect on our history, and how it related completely the ages with Asia. I'd suggest it to anyone, particularly to those like me for whom Western Civilization was all the history we required to understand.

History comes alive

Incredible audiobook! I got so much about the historical connections of modern life in Europe and Asia. Who identified Nordic countries were engaged in the Middle East? I highly suggest this audiobook.

Brilliant!

A spectacular comprehensive history of trade and its political, financial, social, and technological (army) change all around the world over many utopias. A majestic and enlightening summary. It does ask the user to have at least a careless knowledge of major events in world history

This is an outstanding audiobook and an eye-opener for users with an awareness of history collected in their own country. The early chapters on the times from the dark ages to the beginnings of the renaissance brings to light the growing civilizations stretching from the middle east to China along the silk road.
