Meh. Maybe you’ll like it better

This was a perfectly fine book. I am not sure why I wasn’t drawn into it. Nothing was bad about the book. I got it because I loved Wingate’s book, Before we Were Yours. I was hoping I had an author I could follow, but this didn’t capture me.

Good Story

Narration was flat on this 1 book. The later. Bloods in the series where narrated with more emotion. I connected to the story.

Lisa Wingate did not disappoint. I could really get into the storyline. Could n' t stop listening.

Enjoyed This book as I do all of Lisa Wingate's books. They’re very refreshing and uplifting.

interesting but not captivating

I enjoyed her other book about the Tennessee orphanage better. I'll still give her another try.

A little disappointed

I have LOVED Lisa Wingate’s recent stuff. This one lacked the complexity and nuance of The Book of Lost Friends and Before We Were Yours.

Good prelude to “The Prayer Box”

A nicely written short story to remind me that family feuds are not what God intends.

Great short story!

This was a good short story to begin the Carolina Series books. I could imagine the town, the feelings the characters. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. The reader was good. Easy to listen to.

Good story, wonderful narrator

The book was okay. I wanted more resolution at the end, but this is a more low-key, realistic novel so it didn’t really take away from the experience. I particularly enjoyed listening to the narrator. She has such a wonderful, soothing and sweet voice.

Another Great Lisa Wingate Novels

I’m enjoying this series! Gave it to family members also for Christmas. Well written, uplifting.
