Excellent story, easy to listen to because of the author’s story and the narrator’s voice….and perfect inflections for the different characters. Kudos!

Got better

When I first started listening to this audiobook I thought the main character was just a cliche- all the classic red neck markers down to hunting with coon dogs. However the character development got more complex and interesting as the novel progressed. The format is a little odd, reads almost like one book.

Just love his books and the stories he tells. Very realistic and true to life. Very emotional.

One of the best stories I have enjoyed! Sweet, real life love story in the midst of great sorrow. Interesting characters. Good plot twists. Cleanly written.
