I didn’t enjoy THE RULES FOR BREAKING as much as the first in the series, which felt more realistic. I also was uncomfortable with the normalization of teens using guns and teaching each other how to use them.

Ashley Easton’s writing and voice are as engaging as ever. Anna is the perfect mix of badass and appropriately scared to death. More sensible than in the first book, she’s learned from her mistakes keeping adults in the dark. Teeny has toughened up too.

THE RULES FOR BREAKING is a satisfying sequel, even while it stretches the bounds of credulity.

Great ending

This one was better than the first book. Loved the journey of protagonist as she grew into her own and became the hero. Story kept moving and had some good twists and turns. Wanted to keep listening to this one until the end.

Chapter titles

The story is good, but the chapter titles are driving me nuts. The high pitch narration had me cringing.

Awful reader

The reader made me want to quit listening to this book. The story was pretty bad too.

Story seemed interesting

I could not tolerate the narrator’s performance and had to stop. I found her intonation to be distracting and difficult to listen to.

1st one was better!

I really liked the first book. This one seemed so outlandish to me. Love the author, just not particularly this book.
