Sophie wants one thing for Christmas - a little freedom from her overprotective parents. Cue devastation.
Heartbroken, Sophie flees to her grandparents' house, where the rest of her boisterous extended family is gathered for the holiday. Nice young adult story
This engaging coming of age story centers on family and friendships as well as romance. I enjoyed picturing the tableaus of date disasters and a busy extended family. I would have preferred the addition of a little bit about college majors and career ideas with this age group since college choice was woven into the story.
