A much fuller picture of an extraordinary human being

I was a young man when Dr. King was taken from us. As a man now in my early 70’s the Radical King brought me back to a time of discontent, with the perspective of over fifty years, which highlights his strength as a leader for all people and a man of vision, passion and faith. His message still rings loudly today and I am grateful for the sharing of his love, strength and non-violence.

Wow

I had to sit back and think about some of the things shared and how we’re not properly living up to the example set by Dr. King.

First, there is no way to replicate the oratory eloquence and cadence of the man. He was and is, one of the best speakers in the history of our country. However, what I realized from this work is we don’t give Reverend King the appreciation he deserves for the clarity of his writings.

Having his words read by others and hearing the works that were never meant to be sermons, forces you to really reflect on the breadth and depth of what one man was trying to accomplish in his lifetime for all of us.

His writings (not just the I Have a Dream speech) should be read aloud in High Schools across the country. Perhaps doing so would be a way to break the cycle of ignorance we still face.

Great insight to a public figure

The Reverend Dr. Martin L. King was a public figure and because of that most people only know what history has said about him.
This book shows the private man who was the public figure. This book gave me new insights to Dr King. I have a greater appreciate of the man and the leader of humanity that he was born to be and became!!

This is a powerful collection of Martin Luther King Jr.'s life work and I am proud to have listened. I encourage everyone to listen and know his mind. He changed the world in so many ways in the short time he was on this Earth.

It’s Time

In this day and time were polarization, chaos, and adversarialism abound we can take the words of Dr. Martin Luther King and realize that the work is not done but there is more work to be done. There’s so many opportunities still that are bound in the present sense of time that need to be addressed need to be looked at from all perspectives black white Hispanic Asian. I pray that people will take and read this book because it has opened up this white man’s eyes heart mind body and soul in a way that it has not been touched in a long time. We need to come together but we need to understand and we need to walk with each other and we need to act with each other and we need to be concerned me and be each others brother to overcome. Lord I thank you so much for all of the people who before us made the sacrifices many of which sacrifice their own lives. But I think you most of all for bringing this man Dr. Martin Luther King into our lives and understanding that the radical king is not the enemy it is the opportunity that we all have to close ranks and to really truly learn how to love. I find listening a little challenging due to voice and character. Male voice for male characters, etc. to determine immediately who is who.
