But Lane, trusting her instincts and intuition, refuses to let the investigation fizzle out. Will the two deaths end up being coincidence after all or will a murderer be unmasked?

A wonderful addition to the Rockfish Island Series

JC has done an amazing job of continuing the story of Sheriff Lane and Ranger Russell. Compelling murder mystery and enjoyable side stories. Nancy Peterson has once again masterfully brought the world of Rockfish Island to life. Can't wait for book three to come to Audible!!

JC fuller is a masterful story teller and Nancy Peterson does an amazing job bringing the Push to life. Such a dynamic duo - this story sucks you in from the get go and keeps you glued will all the twists and turns. So good!

Once again, the team of J.C. Fuller and Nancy Peterson have produced a fantastic audiobook! J.C. Fuller is such an amazing author, and The Push pulls you in from page one and doesn't let go! Then Nancy Peterson's phenomenal narration brings it to life and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end!

A Twisty Cozy Mystery

Book 2 of this engaging series didn’t disappoint! Finding a killer when you’re with Sheriff Lane and Ranger Russell is loads of fun. Great narration.

Not Everyone Is Who They Seem To Be

The author, JC Fuller, is a self-published author who should be put on store shelves nationwide. JC is a master at twists and turns, red herrings, and pulling the rug out from under you just when you think you have the mystery solved. If you love a good contemporary mystery, then her series is for you. Especially if you liked the Jessy Stone Series.
The characters have rich depths and are very relatable. My personal favorites are Sheriff Lane and Phillip Russell, the park ranger. This dynamic duo play so well off of each other that you know there is something more between them, they just haven't realized it yet!
The world-building is very well done. It is a perfect blend of appropriate descriptions that helps the story move along. JC has thought this out meticulously, creating a true work of art. In fact, I could see her Rockfish Island Mystery series becoming a tv series. ARE YOU LISTENING NETFLIX? If she decided to put together a Kickstarter to create her own tv series, I would invest.
I am not going to give any spoilers away because I want you to experience the amazing journey through this "who done it" as I did. You will get hooked from the first chapter and never look back. Just remember that not everyone is who they seem to be!
The narration for the Rockfish Island Mystery is performed by Nancy Peterson, a master at the art of narration. Nancy creates the characters with an ease that is awe-inspiring. I have to tip my hat to this amazing team of author and narrator. This is what happens when fate loves you! False Findings, the third book in the series is stronger yet. Don't forget to pick up all three books in the series at the same time. You will need them when you finish the first book and find yourself needing more of the story. As for me, I am off to find a bear to arm wrestle so JC will work on book 4!

My anticipation of this book is well rewarded

It is written as a stand alone book despite being a sequel to Black Bear Alibi. I am impressed with each character’s introduction. Not too wordy for those of us who know them already, while new readers get everything they need to understand the characters. The twists and turns come on you as a surprise which makes them believable. In fact JC’s story telling is so good her books are reread-able. The narrator is the same person as the first book and happens to be my favorite narrator. Nancy Peterson is so adept at all the characters and is consistent throughout both books. You may think Nancy is perfect but she will prove you wrong by her bloopers at the end of the book. If you like to read books that are hard to put down (or unplug from your ears), I highly recommend both Black Bear Alibi and The Push.

I am HOOKED and heartbroken that I finished this in one day. lol. I can't wait for the next one. The characters are unique. The narrator is the best there is.

Awesome story just when you think you have it figured out .. nope there is a twist! J.C does such a great job in describing everything you are picturing the scene in your head the whole time . Fantastic job can’t-wait to listen to the others!
