Perfect Sabbatical Book

This book is a perfect sabbatical book. And, for me, it was exactly what I needed. I resonated with every chapter and tracked deeply with the ideas presented. I loved Freeman’s stories and use of language.

Grateful for this book and highly recommend it to all fellow pilgrims in the journey of life.

Not my choice

This was not my choice and not one I would have picked. But, I am pleasantly surprised. She points out things and tells her story so she can connect with the reader. I definitely think more because of her book. Thank you Emily P. Freeman

Better than my already anticipated high expectations

This is a must read for....anyone. everyone. Emily has unlocked truths here that you probably have heard before, but she says them in a way that somehow, some way, bring tears to your eyes and whisper “this time it’s true for me.” I’m so thankful for the way her words have shone a light on these simple truths that for so long have been covered by a variety of fears in my own life and my ultimate desire for control, clarity and approval in every single thing I have ever done. Praise God for the freedom we have in Christ. Emily’s book thematically reminds us that there is so much freedom in our decision making and that the actual decision is rarely the point. God wants us to know Him and trust Him and that is such wonderful news for all the stressed out people in this world, myself included.

On repeat

Emily’s words breathe fresh springtime air into my decision weary soul. Once I finished listening the first time, I started it over once again. I need these baby step truths to help set me free. I’m about to listen the third time and get a hard copy that I can mark up and see. Listening to Emily has been a comfort with her calm reassuring voice set in the truth of God. Short chapters are perfect for this homeschooling mama, for the short windows I can take it in as I drive kids around or wash dishes, among other things. Thank you for this book! Well worth a listen or a few times through on repeat.
