Different

I have listened to many fantasy books and this is amazingly different. Plot moves smoothly characters are fleshed out The story line is unique. Clean book which is hard to find. I recommend it as a good interesting listen

I dislike books that end in a cliffhanger. but seeing as the other books are finished I will just read thoes

Great Read

Enjoy this very much! The world building was top tier, main character was captivating, and the plot had surprises at every turn.

Did like any character in the book

Nobody to root for. Really nothing to recommend this book other than the narrator. I won’t give any spoilers. I can see why people liked it but really there are no redeeming characters. The end sets up the light bulb moment for redemption. The whole premise is brainwashed to support the dark side, followed by a bunch of books to fight the power and redeem the soul.

The Making of an Assassin

Wow! That's all I have to say about this book: W.O.W!
This story follows a young orphan's journey to becoming one of the world's deadliest assassins. Among other Chosen, Malina learns that only the strong survive, and to love is to obey. This is the mantra she and her comrades have had ingrained into them over the years of training. But Malina, ever loyal, still struggles with her own conscience. As she nears her mission's completion, she must decide whether to follow her mantra or what little humanity she has left.
I enjoy the pace of the story and the growth of the characters. The training and battle scenes are skillfully tactful, and everything feels believable. I must start The Last Hope immediately! 5+ stars.

Absolutely amazing

This book grabs a hold of you from page one and doesn’t let you go! Absolutely amazing story!!

Entertaining

As a Christian I see the authors twist on story's from the Bible but true to its description it's a DARK fantasy. Not something I'd recommend to a fellow Christian... little hesitant moving forward with the series. On a side note I enjoyed the authors writing style specially how he layers mystery and action in this book.

Definitely a good story and strong listen

Getting into this story, its set up as a universe and as a land is painted beautifully, definitely unique on its own. The story in living through the main character's eyes shows she has great things tied to her, and in the events of the story, it keeps one guessing about the overall achievement and goals of where the story will evolve into. It is definitely a very good story, the narrator conveying the right amount of emotions in the voices when needed. I've gladly enjoyed this story and look forward to the other two books.

Decent story with a monotone narrator

I found this book so hard to listen too , and stay focused on because of it’s narrator. I was hoping she wouldn’t be on the other books but she is. This might be why I don’t finish the series.
There is also a loud weird chime when a chapter ends. Very distracting and annoying.
Story line is mildly an action packed and fairly interesting but not a romantasy.

good story

I liked the narrator and the story it kept my interest the entire time I consumed the book in a day
