interesting plot, kinda strange but it works

the characters are well written, the story is at times hard to follow due to the strangeness of it but there are some very good plot twists

It’s ok

I found this book to be a little slow to start. It was interesting in the end, but it wasn’t my favorite of hers. I wouldn’t not recommend but it was just ok.

Utterly fantastic. One of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to this year

Lucy Foley can WEAVE a thrilling tale. The way she expertly orchestrates scattered puzzle pieces into a masterpiece is unparalleled. So many great twists - including some I didn’t see coming!

Also hats off to these narrators. They were phenomenal. They made these characters comes to LIFE so much that you didn’t need the chapter headings to know who was speaking. Bravo bravo bravo!

Fantastic ending !

This was a great read! So well written. Even with the views of multiple characters and bouncing back and forth between 15 years, you follow along smoothly, really connect with each character and the other twists keep coming!!

Love Different Narrators

Great performance! Awesome book! Spooky and kept me guessing! I loved that everything was explained in the end and there was no loose ends!

Lucy Foley always writes a good book with stories that unravel towards the end- i just love her style of writing.

Outstanding work by Foley

Don’t mind the “Blair Witch” comparison. It’s nowhere near that sort of suspense horror genre. The story has just the right amount of mystery thriller vibe - it keeps you interested but won’t give you nightmares.

The book uses a past/present device to guide you through a story that reveals enough to let you connect some of the dots while holding back interesting twists for the end. Where it really shines, though, is its witticism. There are some legit hilarious scenes (eg the spiked cider) and cutting but amusing portrayals of the profound lack of introspection of the monied class.

Really enjoyed this. I don’t usually read these types of books more than once, but this one will make it back into the rotation for sure.
