Captivating listening

"The Master and the Marionette" is a gripping and intense second installment in the Pawn and the Puppet series by Brandi Elise Szeker. Narrated by Amy Hall and Lance Greenfield, the audiobook takes us on a thrilling journey as Skylenna escapes societal restraints and delves deeper into the mystery surrounding patient 13, Dessin.

The author skillfully crafts new alters and personalities, adding depth to the characters and intensifying the attraction between Skylenna and Dessin.

The question of whether Dessin truly cares for her or if he's merely manipulating her like a marionette lingers throughout the narrative, keeping listeners on the edge

Unfortunately, I was unable to get The Pawn and the Puppet due to issues with the code. However, I was able to enjoy The Master and the Marionette. This book has a bit of everything from s&x, to eating issues, depression, violence and other things. It was a very enjoyable book. Amy Hall did a good job but Lance Greenfield did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

DEFINITELY Tantalizing

I did not expect so many twists in this book. but absolutely LOVED listening. so far this series has NOT disappointed in the slightest 😍😍

Ugh…amazing

I love to hate the push pull between our two main characters. The plot twists and story development and the depth the narrators bring are incredible leaving me wanting more. Please come out with the 3rd audiobook!!!

I’m so HOOKED!

This one was hard to put down! The story definitely unfolded more in this one, and I am so invested in what secrets about Skylenna’s life are left to know. And that cliffhanger.. 😳 Racing to get book 3!!

A Heart Pounding Roller Coaster of a Sequel!

Beautifully written, dynamically narrated, filed with battles, betrayals, twists, turns, and a cast of characters so expansive, so unique, so constantly evolving you just might want to keep a scorecard, “The Master and the Marionette” instantly transported me to another world, and kept me there, focused and engaged from beginning to end! No spoilers, as with book 1, I was equal parts horrified, and enthralled with very strong feelings for these characters. This author has created a very different world and made me not only understand it and understand it’s inhabitants, but care deeply for them as well. I am completely hooked and can’t wait for the next one to come out in audio! Five fantastic stars!

Vivid literary journey

This is one of my favorite in the pawn and the puppet series. It’s an amazing literary journey! Strongly recommend for any romance, adventure & psychological thriller lovers

Finally some spice between Dessin and Sky

For anyone who was left with metaphorical blue balls from the first book, this book makes up for it.
We finally see Dessin and Sky together and it’s better than I imagined. In this book, they are hunted by multiple groups but find allies in the forest they escaped to in the first book.
